The felony false imprisonment charge against Georgia wide receiver RaRa Thomas has reportedly been dismissed according to a report from Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal-Consitution.

Looking forward to Ra Ra wearing the Red & Black. This should be a wake up call to walk the straight and narrow from here on out.
Anyone who said he needed to be kicked off the team, before the legal process played out need to apologize.

First, the SEC already enacted a rule against transfers and discipline involving any student athlete in the conference when it comes to domestic violence related charges; so Smart’s decision will be secondary.
Secondly, we know almost close to nothing of the details of this case and the DA has not announced any formal charges. Until the DA announces formal charges based on evidence and/or a grand jury, this is he said/ she said.
Blocking a door is not kidnapping nor a felony until it is charged by the DA and then proven in court. The Athens PD charging documents state that’s what it was because that’s what police officers are supposed to do, then let the grand jury and DA figure it out after investigation and evidence. 99.99999% of these charges like “blocking a doorway” are either dismissed or pleaded down to class 2 or class 3 misdemeanors. There can be dozens of reasons this young lady had a scratch on her shin and leg, not simply only that RaRa caused it.
Let the facts come out and wait for the DA’s charges, which shouldn’t take more than 4 to 6 weeks, then we can start to put the picture together.
Hell, didn’t we have a LB by the name of Adams get formally charged with rape 3 months after the incident, and it has been what, 15 months and still waiting on the trial?
No reason to speculate on anything here, and yes, we ALL Dawg fans are against domestic violence and violence against women, but there is NO REASON to try and gas light other fans or our own when this has not been formally charged and no grand jury has been convened based on the facts of the case.
Like I and others said, this was completely blown out of proportion and was he said, she said.
