Very good chance this may be his last year as a Dawg. I’m really looking forward to this year because there are going to be a few “shake your head” moments and say “d*#%, did he really just do that? A truly special player! Go Dawgs!

Bowers is a treasure! Talented, humble, respectful, and committed to his team. He also seems to understand and appreciate the value of being a member of the University of Georgia community. Need more Brock Bowers in the world.

    I agree!

One of his NIL deals is with Georgia Associated Credit Union..... a kid from California!

    Just awesome!

This is definitely the case. A lot is made about our top recruiting classes but it is the hidden gems that have come up big for Kirby. The 3 stars and 4 stars that no one talked about. I think Kirby is a master evaluator of talent.

Brock is so smooth out there when he runs routes. It doesn't look like he is even trying sometimes. Too easy. Ladd is also just uncanningly great and just wins every play. Now with Lovett and JackSaint and Bell wowzers. The other thing that is great is that Beck throws such a nice fast ball that it gets there earlier so we hopefully will see less contested balls with the above players and that gives them bigger plays.

    Very excited about this offense.

I'll tell you who I'm excited about this year....Arian Smith. You ought to watch that 1st TD in slo-mo a few times. He flat outran his protection (Bowers & Delp) as well as Bullard, Lassiter and the rest of the defense, to the edge. Even though, Lassiter read it right...Smith got the jump on him and never slowed down. Lol.

This is Smith's "breakout year"....mark my words. Dang...UGA is loaded again! Already. They don't reload, "a bullet at a time"....they change out clips. Lol

Another one to get excited about, is Freshman defender M'Pemba. Reminds me s a lot of Leonard Floyd with his long arms and body. Fast, quick, strong...good overall "football player", with great instincts. He's gonna be a "breakout Freshman", this year.

I feel like we are set at LB and DB. What I am unsure of is our interior DTs. Arian looked great. Hopefully this is the year it all comes together for him. Lovett looked really quick and as he learns our playbook he will be even more impressive. Ladd was great as usual. Bell looked great. We have lots of targets. The only disappointing person was Delp. Not sure but he was very unDelp like. I'm sure it was just a bad day for him. With a top 2 OL and Beck's arm we may see records broken this year for passing yards and tds. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Beck is a Heisman candidate.

You heard it here first folks.

Yep...I agree. The Dawgs have the best WR Room, they've had in years. The best QB Room they've had...maybe, ever. Or, at least since Eric Zeire and Mike Bobo....or, John Lassiter and Buck Belue...and, even then, there wasn't a 3rd equally good QB, like they have in Stockton.

As far as the Heisman....I don't put much stock in that Award, anymore. It's a popularity contest, now. That barely has anything to do with football. Caleb Williams won it last year...based entirely on the hype he got, when he transferred to USC and "Hollywood". Lol

Stroud was robbed of the Heisman by ESPN. They (ESPN) lick the ball-sweat from USC's sack...every year. They NEVER have a disparaging remark about that team...just hype and build-up, until they fail...then ESPN goes radio-silent. For some unknown reason, they seem to have a vested interest in the success (or non-failure) of that, and a couple of other teams...like BAMA, OSU, ND, FSU.

Lol...they've been trying to get FSU and Texas (another ESPN Darling) back in the mix with hype and favorable polling, for years. And they are in a love affair with Ryan Day...afterall, he provided 3 Heisman winners over the last decade.

BS...what are the odds that Ryan Day...winner of ZERO Nattys...just happened to have the 3 "best football players in College Football" over the last several seasons?

If you're looking for bias in the media...start there...polls, awards, hype. Who's gettin' more than their share...despite the W/L records and lack of draft success. More important...who's getting gyped, or minimized...despite W/L records and winning Championships with massive Draft success?

Bennett was right...the Dawgs WERE doubted in 2022...the same as this year...else they would own that #1 position in the preseason Polls...just based on their "roster & resume'"...not hype.

IF........a UGA Player has a shot at this Yankee-Award...it would be, whomever lines up behind center...or, Brock Bowers. IMO

I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that Beck is "the man". At least, not yet. I think you've gotta give BVG a chance to improve and compete, in Fall Camp. Beck had a good day Saturday...but, we didn't get to see any of the other Scrimmages or practice sessions and we don't know what's going on in "the room".

IMO...BVG didn't have a "bad day" Saturday. So, he didn't play himself out of the competition. Not at all. In fact, he was pretty impressive when flushed out-of-the-pocket. I'd say he was decisive in that respect...but, he held on to the ball too long, at times, when he should've dumped it.

We have to remember....unlike Beck, Vandergriff didn't have the services of Bowers or McConkey, while he was guiding the 1st team offense. That makes a HUGE difference. Without those 2 guys...it's not really the 1st team. That data-point needs to be addressed when doing a G-Day comparison between Beck and BVG. Otherwise, it's not an honest or accurate comparison, IMO.

All good points. I think the thing is that we could go undefeated in the regular season with any of our top 3. Will we? Not sure things happen and Tennessee might be legit this year plus they get a lot of home cooking (think last year with 17 penalties against Bama and some no call late hits on BY).

If the DLine comes together we could be unstoppable. Outside of that I don't think anyone beats us this year period. Brock Bowers should be showcased this year but honestly Beck/Griff should set a new record for yards per reception and yards per game. I expect we should set the ppg record this year. If Griff stays, which is a big if imo, then Kirby has got to let him throw the da*n ball and show people what he has got. This will make the scores even more ridiculous.

The schedule is pitiful and hopefully it doesn't make us soft heading into Tennessee.

I really like the new corner AJ Harris. I think he starts by end of year but for sure next year. I expect 1 of the 3 corners to transfer (Greene, Everette, or Humphrey). Too loaded and not enough playing time for everyone.

Back to the QBs. If and when Raiola commits that will be the trigger for Griff to go and perhaps Stockton. There is no window for Griff or Stockton where Raiola comes in and they start.
