Georgia baseball ends season at SEC tourney, gloomy 9-0 defeat to South Carolina
The Georgia baseball season came to a damp, disheartening end on Tuesday at the the SEC tourney at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

Deja Vu, the insanity continues...
.
All in all, another brick in the wall...
Pathetic. Time to pull the plug on this coaching staff. Georgia, and the Atlanta area in particular, is a hotbed for baseball talent. No excuse for the flagship university with its many resources to be so consistently bad, year after year. Go Dawgs
Time for a new fire cracker young gun head coach...what a miserable baseball program...hey Jerry Morehead...here's an idea let out state Athletes get in state benefits with tuition sir
Go Dawgs
So the season is on the line, a MUST-WIN game to have ANY slim chance to get an NCAA bid, and you start a guy who has been injured for 6 WEEKS, knowing he couldn't go more than 2 INNINGS. Don't use a healthy starter, no. Hey, let's make it a bullpen game like a midweek one. Strickland's gotta go.
How he has remained in his role for 10-years is astounding. So far past time for him to go and for UGA to get serious about baseball. Improve facilities now, not 2-3 years as is the current plan, and get a coach that can recruit and coach. Programs outside of football should be way better than they currently are and it always starts with a solid coach.
His last name is Stricklin - not Strickland. Also, there were no starters available on full rest since they had just pitched Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So, it had to be a bullpen day. Unfortunately, our bullpen sucks.
Told
told ya! But I do love the optimism has the last month of the season played out & you guys kept telling us UGA as right on the cusp of the NCAA tourney! Great job
if people only knew just how pathetic & embarrassing the facilities are for UGA baseball. There is ZERO chance they can out recruit even mid level programs for talent. The main guys they get are die hard kids who grew up DAWGS or the scraps after the mid level & top level programs get their fill
Pitching...pitching...pitching. SMH...when will UGA learn. They've got some time, now, to straighten it out...and, for goodness sake...get a real pitching coach. Those pitchers are doing too many "things they should not be doing" & "not doing some things, they SHOULD be doing". IMO
Some of the Dawgs issues, won't be solved with a "player" upgrade. It's deeper than that. You know how everybody talks about, the way "Kirby Smart develops talent"...well, I think there is a problem in that department, for the "Diamond Dawgs". Particularly, with the bullpen.
Turn out the lights, the party’s over! I hope the AD doesn’t wait too long to let go of this coach.
