Josh Freese who's played with A Perfect Circle, Vandals and Sting has joined forces with Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters. Great selection, Freese is an awesome drummer. Looking forward to new material from FF.

I thought you were going to say that Dave Grohl was the new drummer.
They had a clever introduction video where they had several drummers knock on their rehearsal door. Danny Carey was one of the drummers. Knew that wasn't happening.
Freese's work with A Perfect Circle is outstanding. Hate to say it, but they've just upgraded the band.
Yes, quite. But thanks for asking.
He may be a better drummer than Taylor Hawkins, but let’s see how the chemistry is
Saw Nirvana at the 40 Watt in… October, I think(?) 1991. DG is a powerful drummer.
Agree
Agree, so you know he was very selective in who he chose. Sting and James Maynard Keenan have worked with arguably two of the greatest rock/prog rock drummers of all time in Stewart Copeland and Danny Carey, so the fact that both selected Freese to drum in their bands says a lot about his talent.
Going to see them at Louder than Life in Louisville in September. Can't wait, Tool and Godsmack are 2 I've really wanted to see, but haven't yet.
