Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

This is a little early to rate players who have not played a down in the '23 football season. I know it stirs up hype and sells things. But it's hype, and now that we are champions who play at the top level. These lesser beings are going to be talking about our Dawgs and comparing each player we have with their favorite players on their favorite team like USC, Ohio State, and Michigan. It's what they do.
not smael? huh.
GREAT COMMENTS....My wife, (Michigan grad) and I especially loved "McHonkey"......went to our McDonalds and just for fun ordered a "McHonkey Meal"......a few minutes later a young lady appeared and said, "Here's yo McHonkey Meal Sir"......she brought me a tray with a chicken paddy on white bread, small fry and a Diet Coke....we all had a laugh! ....apparently it's a real thing???
Unless Beck is a lefty (checks to confirm memory, he's not), there is only one position moe valuable than center, and that is left tackle. Mims plays right tackle. He could be the greatest right tackle for UGA, and he still would not be more valuable than SVP. SVP handles the blocking assignments and literally handles the ball every play excluding kicks. Blaske also backs up Mims, so the same could be said about Mims getting hurt. The problem with that logic is the center QB exchange is literally one of the hardest parts of the game. Small changes in it lead to big effects on timing of the offense. There can be disagreement if Mims is a better prospect at his positions than SVP is at his, but SVPs value will always be higher unless Mims plays left tackle.
I agree. I'm not sure that the most important players on O-Line this year are SVP, Greene and Blaske in that order. This is the year to win the Moore award. I'm already worried about next year after we lose 5 guys to the draft.
This is just fun to talk and write about, but it's way to early to tell. I'll bet that at the season's end, there will be more than seven all Americans on Steele's teams. Let's see.
