- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. Hugh Freeze shares lofty visions for Auburn football, adds perspective to checkered past
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hugh Freeze is taking over an Auburn football program that is on a historically bad run of late.

I believe Dabo has 2 wins against Saban as well 2017 and 2019
"if you’re in the upper half of this conference, you get a break here or there, you’re in the playoffs."......Hugh Baby, you ain't in Conference USA any longer.....this is the SEC and it's a brand new day. To be in the "upper" half, you must recruit equivalent talent with UGA, Bama, LSU, Tenn, TA&M, Texas, and OK, then you've got to have the coaching staff that can develop that talent. A break here and there.....Huge Baby, you take what I've mentioned and you make your on breaks. The over/under.....I'd be picken the under for the next several years.
You're absolutely right...it IS a new day. And, UGA couldn't be positioned for it, any better than they are now.
To top that off...Congress is getting ready to put the brakes on this NIL/TP element that's been raising it's head at schools like Texas A&M and Ole Miss, since 2020.
Joe Manchin and Tommy Tuberville authored a Bill that was just presented to the Congress to be voted on and drafted into law. Below is an excerpt of an article written by Sarah Fortinsky of "The Hill" 6 hours ago...that gives you an idea of where we're gonna be next year.
The Legislation addresses everything from NCAA/FTC Power...to Student Athletes having to remain at original school for 3 years before they are free to transfer...unless specific waiver is granted for a reason allowed by the NCAA or the Legislation.
The bill encompasses much more, than just, the 2 paragraphs below. And indicates they're about to get serious with CFB and the NCAA., I'll include the link at the end of my post
[The “ Protecting Athletes, Schools and Sports Act ” would require that collectives and boosters be affiliated with a college or school, prohibit inducements and give the NCAA the authority to prohibit certain NIL agreements, including those that would “involve alcohol, drugs, or conflict with existing school and conference licenses.”
The NCAA would also have oversight over NIL activities and the authority to investigate them. The legislation also empowers the Federal Trade Commission, allowing the NCAA to report violations to the FTC.]_____The Hill, Sarah Fortinsky
He is a ****! Period! Full Stop!
He is a T H U G! Period! Full Stop!
Auburn's A Dumpster. A big smelly dumpster with a dirtbag for a head coach. Yuck.
Doesn't Kirby have a couple?
Looks like someone got paid today...Hugh Freeze hasn't changed much to be honest. With NIL he just has to find new inventive ways to cheat and he is at the best school with the best track record for that.
Freeze "stole" Robert Nkemdiche (DL) and Laquan Treadwell (WR) from the Richt-Dawgs when he was at Ole Miss several years back (2013). Only...it was illegal then. Lol..."Gooood recruiter"....wink...wink.
Auburn wasn't counting on Tuberville & Manchin (NIL/TP legislation) putting the brakes on all this buying and trading of players, when they hired Freeze, I bet. Workin' the dollar while recruiting, is right in his wheelhouse. If the PASS Act is taken up this year, though...look out.
Freeze is a perfect fit at Auburn.. Both are known for shady deals.
Hugh Freeze has a great gig at Auburn, pulling in an annual salary that almost equals what many Americans earn during their entire lives. What else do you expect him to say other than Auburn is going to win again under his "enlightened" coaching? Duh...
A broken clock is correct twice each day...
That's what Jimbo said and 50 million later he has 1 double digit winning season so far. If anyone can be accussed of being a bank robber it is Jimbo Fisher. But yah, Freeze is awful, and just makes it easier to hate Auburn.
I don't think anybody's sayin' they "like Jimmy's A&M", either. Lol...he just hasn't been caught yet...cause nobody's lookin'..
The NCAA investigating committee works pretty much the same way our Justice Dept. and News Media work. It's only illegal if we find it...and we only find it if we look...if you show us we'll look away, cause we don't want to know...Lol. Undependable...unequal...and, weaponizable. Also, unfortunate for us.
Anyway...the Dawgs have nothin' to worry about...except keeping their heads down and doin' what they do. They can beat all comers...Auburn included...with their backups.
