I didn't see any OSU or Michigan players on the Defensive AA side of the ball? Must of been a typo.

And yet Georgia came out third on ESPN's FPI over the weekend.

That tells me that FPI is a flawed metric. But, I say, good! Kirby needs to show the players something to put a chip on their shoulders and this provides good bulletin board material.

As for the DAWG who's missing from the team: Tate Ratledge should be ahead of Tyler Booker. Gotta wonder whether they just thought they needed one Bama guy on the offensive side.

What? No more Joe Moore awards for Michigan. I guarantee they will be in the top 3 without any top 3 linemen. Why? Cause the powers want them there.

I had to chuckle a little bit, as I perused this list. Thinking of the Dawgs...some Freshmen, even... that could've and should've been on the list...if we lived in a perfect world. But, the world ain't perfect,...yet.

Though, "perfection" itself, is unattainable...Kirby is inching UGA and the media's perception of UGA...closer and closer to perfection. Every year, since Kirby took over...the gap between perception and reality, where Kirby's brand of power football is concerned, has narrowed.

The media's love affair with Bama is on the rocks...but, they just can't seem to let go of their BIG10 Fantasy. The day of the "high flying offense" is coming to an end. When you look at Michigan and OSU's defense'...you gotta ask yourself..."Where's the beef?". Smart has shown everybody how to stop the "QB/5 Wide" offenses (or, at least, slow them down)...with a talented, trained, deep, conditioned..."Defense".

IMO...CFB is swinging back to "what "brung em"...[[Power running game, mixed with efficient passing, targeting every skill position....employing, a smart QB with the ability to consistently deliver the football to the right skill player...AND...Solid Defense]]. "Depth, Conditioning, Coaching and Talent" are the 4 biggest variables...and, Kirby's got that covered.

Nick had it covered, but, that's not the case, as it stands today. In fact, there isn't a team out there that has performed with UGA's consistency since 2021. The only team's I see, right now, that are closing that gap and look to compete in 2023, are Michigan, OSU and LSU. I was going to say Texas A&M and USC....Bwaaahahaha...but, couldn't bring myself to do it...just yet.

"Fisher and Petrino"...and Ryan Day could field pretty good teams this year....but, culture and "defense" are big question marks, where those 2 are concerned. It takes MORE than talent and a QB to win a Natty these days. Hence...Bama, USC and A&M are "on the outside, looking in"...despite their generous National rankings in recruiting and preseason polls..

IMO...Before it's all said and done...Tennessee will be replaced by South Carolina as the East's 2nd best football team Beamer is a helluva coach...and Rattler a helluva leader and QB. But...the media can't say that and maintain credibility. Lol...they rarely step out on a limb in preseason polls.

    Also, Thorsen our punter!

That 75-yard punt, pinning UTjr back on their one-yard line, ALONE should give him AA looks!

    Go Dawgs!

I was thinking of how good he might be this year, too. (IF he gets a chance to punt. :-)

He could end up a candidate for some level of All-American team. But I don't think a punter will be listed as one of the top 100 players.
