The Dawgs got another “slow start” Saturday, but this time they took it to extremes.

Beck 27 of 35 passes for 269 yards looked pretty good especially considering how many times he was harassed during the first half.

Missing McConkey is clearly showing up. Bobo needs to establish a deep threat receiver or two. Where was Aarion Smith?

Great article Bill, always enjoy reading your post game articles.

In a game where it was rough to be a fan and pick out bright spots, I’d agree about the perimeter blocking and o line play.

As fans we were missing seeing good ol fashion UGA Murder Death March ball. Stop em on defense and muscle em down the field. The second half showed us that.

🍻. Here’s to hoping our qb starts hitting those open streaking receivers ( see Bell) and our rbs start hitting those open holes again And most of all….the return of murder ball!

    go dawgs

You completely skipped over Bobo’s cute and ridiculous red zone play calling (inconsistent? That’s the word you use to describe it, that’s being way too soft and forgiving; it was TERRIBLE) the refs in this game and many other games this season just refusing to call holding on OBVIOUS holding taking place by O-lineman against D lineman and linebackers( was atrocious and obvious how many calls were missed), and now this is three straight games where UGA slept walked for an entire half and came out NOT ready to play.

Can’t blame that on trying to keep playcalling vanilla anymore, our Dawgs are in the SEC schedule now. Can’t blame it on Ladd McConkey being out because the OC and team has known that he was going to be out for 3+ weeks now, so you game plan and do walk through without him(and what happened to the WR room being a strength this season which we all heard 2k times?).

Defense looked great in the second half and hopefully they will continue that as the season goes on.

What is so obvious to me and a group of fans watching the game and is a YUGE cause for concern: Nonexistent vertical passing game in the first half, and that tells me that Bobo doesn’t trust his weapons in the passing game nor does he trust Beck.

That will be the team’s doom, if true, and the other thing that will prevent any chance of winning the SEC championship is the kicking game. Gotta make a change there by the UAB game or 1 day after; can’t have that on a team and expect to be considered championship worthy.

And what happened to UGA players eating off the floor? Look like they were eating off the floor in the first 32 minutes against SC?

    cant believe I’m saying this……

bobo schemes the correct play calls. Beck just ain’t choosing to throw deep until late in the games

Good wake up call. Now let's see how we respond to it moving forward.

I think Beck looks great to me. Just needs to clean up some small things and we will be rolling.

Defense needs to come out of the gate and that wasn't Becks fault. Stop sleepwalking defense.

Special teams is a nightmare so far except for Mekhi Mews. Whoever is coaching the special teams let's get it together dude!
