Great article @BillKing - especially like the line about the DAWGs best defense was actually its offense. Very true and may be more apt for this season than anytime in the recent past.

Wow, did we learn something about the identity of this team. Going forward, they will pass first and build the running game off of that. Now that the reins have fully been given to Beck, the Dawgs have one of the most diverse passing offenses I've ever seen. The defense is still a work in progress, and was definitely bailed out by the penalties and poor accuracy from Leary, but it seems to come together better every game after the sputtering starts. What a great win! Go Dawgs!

It was a good night for the Dawgs, but they’re only halfway through the season. I liked how linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson summed it up when asked whether this was a statement win. “I don’t think a statement is made in one night,” he answered. “We have to keep progressing. We have to keep going.”

    Perfect segue, Bill.

    Go, Dawgs!

SO, I guess now everyone can stop wondering or worrying about Carson Beck. He IS the man! What a performance!! Other than the one ill-advised throw that was intercepted, the man played brilliantly. I hope he continues to improve and make smart decisions. Excited to see RBU turn into HIGH FLYING U yesterday!!

Georgia has played up or down depending on the opponent as most teams do . They showed up against the undefeated Cats . That’s what champions have to do . Always enjoy your articles Bill and hopefully for many more years .

Bobo had a magnificent game plan. He did exactly as I hoped he would, he cameout throwing the ball around the yard and KY(I believe) was caught off guard, THey thought we would just lineup and try to out physical them on the line of scrimmage by running it. I'm sure they were ready for the run. We played to our strength(which is getting the ball in the hands of our playmakers) and went after their weakness(defending the pass). THey were frustrated by our success and they made some of the dumbest penalties I've ever seen.

I think Bobo has been a little bit pigheaded in the earlier part of the previous games trying to be balanced and running it. I think he just said to blank with it, we're a passing team, I'm turning CB loose. When the passing gets going it opens up the run. There's more than one way to skin a cat!

It's hard to believe the regular season is already half way over. Lot's of big games yet to come!
