will be interesting to see how the committee ranks them as of now the top 5 teams. Win out and your in.

however if UGA stumbles and OSUs only loss is to Michigan then those 4 will probably be in with tensions and decisions of OSU vs UGA as who deserves #4.

I believe if OSU wins out, then UGA as SEC champ would trump Michigan, as long as any UGA /L is to a ranked team.

the PAC 12 is still up in the air.

and if you can stomach it- root for the gators when they play FSU

Lot of football left to play. 5 out of final 6 are top 30 teams so one game at a time.

Team needs to come together and play with connection and physicality. Limit turnovers. One moment at time, one play at a time.

Georgia hasn't proven anything. Dawgs are getting the benefit of the doubt right now. I wouldn't have ranked them any higher than 4 or 5. FSU and Ohio State have played and won against much tougher competition than the Dawgs. Washington beat a very good Ducks team. Michigan has soundly defeated most all their opponents. I see them as the most complete team with the best and most experienced QB - possibly the best in Wolverine history - in McCarthy. I see all of these teams improving.

Dawgs have got their work cut out for them in November. None of the polls matter at this point until November when the CFP polls start coming out weekly.

I'd be more inclined to agree if Georgia hadn't shown against Kentucky that they still have their fastball, so to speak. But since they did show that, I think it's only right to keep them in at least the top two or three until they fail to show up when they need to.

Michigan, famously, has yet to play anyone with a pulse. However, they have at least been looking better against that level of competition than Georgia has. They're the only team that I would consider putting above Georgia right now. I have no reason to believe Georgia couldn't have beaten ND and PSU at least as easily as tOSU did. But as you pointed out, none of this matters much right now. In the next month or so, Georgia will either prove they're playoff material (and possibly the best team in the country), or they will fail to do so and fall away.

@E_Roc...Yes, but remember, Missouri crushed Kentucky too. So is Missouri as good as the Dawgs? I guess we'll find out pretty soon.

I have watched McCarthy and the Wolverines play this season. Michigan is 13th in yards per play on offense and fourth on defense. It hasn’t allowed more than 10 points in a game, outscoring opponents 325 to 47. They are better overall than they have ever been under Harbaugh. McCarthy is a real weapon. Their AJ Barner is our Brock Bowers, and he's a beast. I think Michigan is the real deal, and I'll be surprised if they don't manhandle Ohio State at the Big House in November.

Yes, Ohio State is not as good as they have been. McCord has got his limits, but he does have some serious weapons on offense. And they handled Penn State with (3) of their RB, WR, and DB stars out with injuries yesterday.

I'm ready for the Dawgs to show up BIG against Florida....handle them early and convincingly. It needs to happen. If we win but struggle then then I say we will probably lose at least one game in November. I just hope Kirby is using this bye week to make some real improvements - especially on defense.

IMHO.....the CFP committee desperately wants #1 to be any dog not named BULL DAWGS, so they will place The Huskies as their #1 team....after all their "Golden Boy" Caleb Williams, plays for a team that hasn't figured out that DEFENSE wins games by stopping your opponent from scoring more points than your "Golden Boy" can single handedly produce....So the NEW GB is ex-Hoosier Michael Penix and given the mediocre competition he's faced (not including the Ducks), He's our Heisman leading candidate and undefeated. The Bucknuts will garner the #2 spot based on their resounding domination of ND, that team that got whopped by Louisville and the Feckless Nitwitty Lions of P State, Offensive Behemoths that they are! I'm expecting The Dawgs will get the #3 slot since we've played a much tougher schedule than Big Blue Cupcake Parade and, after all....we are The Two Time National Champions....The Wolverines will beat out The Semi-Noles cause The Cupcake Parade is much tougher than anything in the ACC and Big Blue tends to run up the score in their weekly beat downs!....They beat LSU you say, yep, but that was before LSU got back from summer break.

AP and Coaches Committees waiting for UGA to lose is my guess. If they don't lose, the committees are justified. Since the SEC rivals are ranked is all the better. I believe it will be a tough haul for UGA. IMO. Teams we used to wink at...are now players. One game at a time , says Kirby.
