I believe he's referring to the several that CKS has also referred to over the season. Coach called them "bone-headed" when Stetson made them. Coach has changed his language a bit, here, but the idea is the same. There have been a few passes Beck has forced in bad situations that have led to turnovers. That's been established. I do believe that Mr. Griffith is just referring to them offhand at this point because it's been more-or-less established that they happened.

It's really weird to me that someone voted this down.

    Lesson: people are weird sometimes.

Everything included here is right on the money, and a fair assessment. McClendon receiving credit on the receiver development? Check. Bobo receiving credit on Beck's development? Check. Hartley developing that dadgum stable of HAWSES we've got at TE? Check. The fact that this program is taking so many either bottom-half-starred, or not-starred-at-all-players and turning them into consistently-producing-at-their-respective-position champions? Check.

@osmosiphobe My getting Hartley's name wrong was worth a downvote.

The rating of HS football players based on developing skills and a forecast of CFB excellence is akin to NFL teams drafting players off Street and Smith's All American and All Conference teams back in the day. They are both superficial analysis and equally amateur approaches.

The point is, what some wannabe football dweeb thinks of a kid based on play at a few special events and HS football games against a wide variation of competition cannot be compared to the evaluations made by CKS and staff at camps and workouts conducted under their watchful eyes. There is no comparison. Needless to say CKS's player rankings would differ considerably from those at Rivals, On3, 247Sports, ESPN etc etc. Even those services cannot agree on players rankings. CKS has been around elite football players for a long time. He knows the goods when he sees it. Regardless of "rankings", Edwards, Bell, McConkey, Beck, AD, Stokes, JDavis, etc etc have the goods.
