Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Dawgs in the NFL: Stetson Bennett unlikely to return for the Los Angeles Rams this season
Matthew Stafford picked up a UCL injury in the Los Angeles Rams loss to Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. His status moving forward for the Rams is day-to-day.

Glad SB is getting the help he needs. There were many signs pointing to whatever it is he is dealing with but many on here attacked anyone who pointed them out. Would love to of course see him return this season, it's a shame he's not there to step in with MS going down(no one saw this coming did they?) he could have shown what he's got. Maybe there will be another opportunity on down the road. We shall see.
What a disappointment he has become.
Have read rumors, but nothing confirmed just yet.
What is it he is getting help with?
Mental Health. Maybe, a breakdown. The word is, he is in a Mental Health Facility, getting the help he needs. I think he'll be just fine.
I told you all....UGA is a "Pressure Cooker". I guarantee you...Bennett wasn't the only one to break. He follows Matt Luke and a few others...only, He stuck it out for 2 Natty's.
Much respect to Stetson Bennett. May God be with him.
@Eastmandawg
One can only surmise as nothing has been stated publicly, no one (anyone in the press) has seen hiim or heard from him in a couple of months, and if isomething physical as in a broken bone or something whynot say so? That sort of leaves a mental issue or substance abuse(rehab).or both. Just some of the signs were, tHe Championship speech deal, the thing with the TV reporter during the Parade, the Police arrest for public intoxication....not being able to speak to the press the morning after the NC win. Taken as a whole they sort of paint a picture. But just speculating. Hope he gets past it all!
We all have our demons. Hate it for this young man. Hope he truly gets the help he needs and hope he didn’t just miss his chance with the unfortunate injury to Stafford. Sometimes all you get is one shot, especially in the NFL. Hopefully not for him.
After all he's persevered through my prediction is Stetson will return a stronger, better man....
Hoping for the best for SB. If he is in a mental health facility, please lets respect his decision to seek help and hope he recovers. Mental issues can be complicated and covered up for so long before it's too hard to handle. He took the criticism and doubts from fans and his coaches. Yet he thrived and help the team achieve something that no Georgia fan would have thought possible, which is winning two Natty's back to back. After his college career ended, the consequences of overachieving under the spotlight may have escalated from a manageable mental health issue into something unmanageable without help and time off. Whether he plays football again or not, he is still a DGD.
Amen !! Totally Agree !! And may I say it makes me So Proud to be a Dawgs fan to see so many here offering him their prayers and support, instead of throwing him under the bus. I don’t care Who it is bad things can happen to people that can ruin their lives. No one is totally exempt.
I speak from experience of dealing with “issues” that I Still deal with. Some things are Way Beyond simple applying Will power. If will power was the answer I’d have solved my issues years and years ago. No sometimes we Have to have help from others. Even when we might not want to admit we need that help.
I’m So Thankful that The Lord has and still is my first line of help and then professionals trained in How to help me and others. I’ve been Very Blessed to only recently find a professional at the VA Clinic that has me after many years on the right track. I’m a work in progress, but I’m getting there !!
I Pray for Stets and Hope he to is on the right track and getting the help he needs. And will ultimately get to a better place in life. He will always be a DGD and be the stuff of Dawgs lore. Go Stetson !! Go Dawgs !!
