Good thing we have the Committee to keep us grounded and remind us we are not number one. /s

Can someone explain to me why Florida State continues to be ranked ahead of Washington?

Last weekend, WashU beat Utah by a touchdown at home, while FSU beat Miami by a touchdown at home. Which is more impressive?

WashU has beaten three currently ranked teams (including a really great Oregon team), while FSU has one beaten #15 LSU way back at the start of the season . Florida State's closest game: by 2 points over BC; Washington's closest game: by 3 over Oregon.

Week in and week out, the Pac-12 clearly tougher this year than the ACC. Next week, the Huskies have to play at #10 Oregon State while Florida State faces North Alabama.

My guess is that WashU will lose to Oregon in the PAC12 championship. But in the meantime Washington is just as unbeaten as FSU, and has a much more impressive resume.

It's really easy to understand. Michigan and Ohio State have played their overrated creme puff schedules and must stay in the top 4. So FSU and Washington have to take one for the Big Ten even though they aren't in the Big Ten. I think Bama and Oregon could easily beat all four of them at this point but they are "unbeaten" and must be rated at the top of the rankings to justify the thievery of the northern sports writers.

The SEC has won 16 of the last 20 national championships; the Big Ten has won two yet the Big Ten generally has two teams in the playoffs. The fix is in for the Big Ten; it always has been.

i know i'm getting ahead, but i'd like to see final four be 1 - UGA, 2 - Mich, 3 - Ore, 4 - FSU. I think those are currently the best 4 overall teams: Mich/OSU debatable. Classic Rose and Sugar bowls, and I think Ore would truck Mich. Then in the final we could get in Bo Nix's head one last time.

If The Committee desires to retain any semblance of legitimacy, Tuesday night The Dawgs will be ranked #1 as we now have two quality wins that destroy TOS's wins over cupcake Penn St and Wanta Be contender Notta Dame......I like Bama, The Ducks and Big Blue to finish out the Quad in any order.

Penn St. at #12 ?? Seriously? THey have no offense.

No offense to the Big 10 but I don't think OSU or Michigan are one of the best 4. Most overhyped teams for sure. Both qbs are not that good imo. I would put Washington up there before either of them.

IMO, four best teams right now are UGA, Bama, Ducks and Signal Thieves. The order could be debated -- partly because we haven't beaten a good team on the road yet. If we handle Tennessee well, UGA should be undisputed No. 1.

That said, my prognostication on the playoff teams is this in this (in order):

    1. GA (so long as we win out)
    2. Signal Thieves or OSU
    3. FSU
    4. PAC12 champ (probably OR -- so long as Oregon State doesn't beat the Ducks)

FSU is at best the sixth best team in the country, IMO. But the Ducks will be seeded fourth because they'll be the only team with one loss, which means that -- like last year -- we'll have to get past the second best team in the country in the semifinals!
