Penn State has dethroned Notre Dame as the perennial most overrated team in the nation!

No way Ohio State should be ranked ahead of Texas and Alabama.

If the CFP ranks similarly. Michigan and a PAC 12 Team are 100% in. ( unless Iowa surprises all of us)

Georgia has to win to be in- as does FSU. First loss will add Washington. If they lose. If Washington wins, OSU is in. If Georgia and FSU both lose, Texas is in.

Bama would not only have to win but for Texas to lose or have a really poor showing.

A Dawgs loss to a #8 team would not place them above OSU who lost to a #2 team.

If Georgia loses. Washington needs to win and FSU to lose to have a chance.

I guess the sheer number of writers in Big 10 country explains how OSU and Penn State are rated as high as they are. OSU has 1 decent win and that is ND, and that one is questionable at best. A decent team yes, but Bama has much better wins and a loss of same magnitude as the one to Michigan (Texas is just as stout). Penn State has played only 2 real games and lost both with not much fight - Iowa is just not a quality win. Really does make you want to just cut out the national picture and set up a playoff of just the conference champions, which the 12-team playoff will address. They just need to forget about trying to establish equity in the 12 and go with the champions and runners up to make it easy. Not perfect, but the sooner voters can be eliminated, the better.

Good to be #1 in both polls, but CFP is the one that counts. UGA has to beat Bama ....has to.
