Wonderful summary, Bill. Your last paragraph bespeaks the consummate class and decency of the best UGA coach of all time.

Without a doubt, the fondest memory out of so many in the 2023 season was "The Wink".......down 14 to 3, on the road in Columbia, all I heard the prior week was "Rattler's goin to rip The Dawgs a new one", at the half TEAM leaders spoke, Schumann spoke, Bobo spoke, then Kirby spoke...."one moment at a time" and Carson Beck let us all know with a wink.....we're going to kick some ass!

It was a great season, with a very disappointing ending. We missed another chance to forever bury some old demons by beating Alabama finally in the SECCG at MBS. Alas, it was not to be. Yes, there were lots of little things that were off that ultimately led to the loss but I will never forget the officials' failure to review the Bond 4th down no-catch that ended up being the difference in the game. It was simply inexcusable.
