- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

His next stop since entering the portal might not be too pleasant?
one never knows what was in his heart/mind at the end - might surprise folks.
Absolutely!
“Will you remember me?”
“Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
That's my point. He was one of my heroes too, as a kid. I watched the chase from the Chili's bar in Athens while I was working. The common factor is that we assume the external appearances and performances of people is the same as their inner selves, which causes us to be surprised when they do things that, in reality, are in their natures to do all along. We can never really know someone from afar, but we are capable of loving or hating their public facades or choosing to ignore them if we like watching them preform.
We found out afterwards that not everyone in his circle saw him as a good guy all along and after the trial his callousness, ego and lack of empathy really came through to the world.
Or not. Anyone, friend or family, who came to see him the last week had to sign an NDA. Vain and controlling to the end.
True. Plenty of people had no idea of the DV he inflicted on his wife over the years. Not many knew of his drug abuse. But locally, his behavior was well-known.
I met and spoke with him a few times. Very charming.
He isn't excused from his actions although it is worth acknowledging that one of the foremost experts on CTE believed OJ was likely a sufferer and in particular because he had an abnormally large head. Physics.
Seems to me he was never afraid to take a stab at something new
Not the interaction, exactly; That thief acknowledged the justice of his temporal punishment, recognized the deity next to him and repented publicly and asked for mercy in faith.
Easy "believism" is not synonymous with saving faith.
Amen Brother, short and true.😎
I was hosting a handful of Spanish forestry people in California when that "chase" happened. They were so curious about this "American" happening and I was so unable to explain all the cultural weirdness of the situation.
I wasn’t trying to quote the whole scene. I resonated with the optimism of our brother Don and made a quick comment. I really really hope OJ exorcised his demons before his end. The guy had a crazy life.
From the depths of a bad neighborhood in San Francisco to the heights of football society at USC and the NFL. We loved him dashing through airports and in certain of his movies. Then the descent into double murder and (later) armed robbery which finally put him in the slammer. What a roller coaster ride. The man was a true American tragedy!
or this one:
Yup - even the demons believe (re: James 2:19)
However, on the flipside there is Matthew 20:1-16, and I hope he earned his denarius. All have fallen short…The CTE theory Wpony mentioned is an interesting one, and a good illustration of why final judgement is not ours to make, but God's alone.
Dang it! Why did things have to turn out how they did? OJ was a national treasure.
The biggest shame.
He died before he could find the real killers and clear his name. /s
