Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Awesome paintings! I like the whales and the little girl with the butterfly, good detail they are excellent, what a talent! Are they for sale? I can sketch and draw well with depth and detail, however when it comes to painting not so, my detail comes out in 1D. GOD Bless you brother. 😎
Hi, the orcas was my first attempt at any kind of painting (I didn’t paint the butterfly girl). I just finished the St Augustine lighthouse which is my second. I’ve enjoyed pencil sketching before but never had any art lessons.
Honestly, I think oil painting is more forgiving because you can blend and paint over mistakes (the paint is very thick). But what do I know as I’m very much a beginner! My advice would be that you are never too old to learn something new 🆕! And who cares if you mess up, it’s just for fun anyway.
Agree for sure on "the never too old to learn something new'. Grandma Moses showed that in the art world. At 80+ I am challenging myself daily with learning the violin (fiddle actually). One thing I've learned is that 80 year old fingers are not as flexible as those of an 8 year old.
You are an inspiration and a true encouragement here on Dawgnation; the Master Po to our Kwai Chang Caine.
thanks, but, really, I am not worthy. I have always admired Master Po. He was very, very cool.
