ATHENS — As is always the case, no one is safe from Kirby Smart’s wrath on the microphone at practice. Even reporters who may be taking notes on the order in which wide receivers were going through a passing on air drill.

Arian Smith remaining in the WR room getting reps as a 1 or even 2 is bad, bad, bad. What is it with 5 ⭐️ WR recruits avoiding this team like the plague?!

    🤯

Geez…shut it…please….you are spewing negativity about a practice.

5 stars is all you ever care about. Ladd was a no star practically.

We always end up with a talented, sharp and tough group at WR.

Quit complaining about who isn't here. They wanted more money and more balls throw to get stats.

But will they win….they don't care. Do you want a 5 star who doesn't want to put in the work, give him his position not earn it, not block, not dedicated to TEAM, selfish….OR a 3 or 4 star who follows the UGA Mantra…WIN (WHATS IMPORTANT NOW). For them its TEAM….me

Thats what I want…you can go root for Oklahoma, the Suckeyes, etc. who throw the ball every other down. I want a team that wins. Kirby has done a great job getting talent…in your meltdown you sound as if he is getting JV players from HS.

Give it a rest….In KIRBY I TRUST…not a bandwagon, complaining so called fan

More guys hurt/out of practice? That didn't take long. I read an interesting story today about CO football. Deion doesn't allow anyone to hit Travis Hunter at practice. Interesting concept. I definitely believe in getting in hitting shape. But it is also smart (not Smart) to protect/load manage your most valuable players. There is a reason QB's wear non contact jerseys at practice.

Practice procedures will have to change when the 105 scholarship change occurs. Then it will be no scout team walk ons to pound on. It will be scholarship players hitting scholarship players the whole practice. Increased opportunity for scholarship players to get hurt with rosters cut from 120 to 105..

In the NFL, "during the regular season, padded practices for all players shall be limited to a total of 14". With CFB becoming NFL Jr can practice rules be far behind? SEC reportedly adopting NFL like "mandatory weekly injury reporting" THIS season.

JHall, after his undisclosed injury, working off to the side is good news. NFrazier already in a no contact jersey is not. ASmith running with the 1's in camp is a good idea. With his speed he will be a valuable weapon IF he can refine his route running and improve his catching ability. Certainly worth the extra work. UGA usually plays WR by committee. Everyone that does well at practice will see some game time.

We have all been disappointed with Arian's drops, but that is something that can be corrected. We will see. Arian's speed can't be denied or is anything that can be taught. Even if the ball doesn't go to him on a given play, defenses do have to account for him and he can take the top off a secondary leaving under routes in single coverage. If he has improved in eliminating the drops, he is a real weapon. By the time the Dawgs hit the field, I am sure Kirby and Bobo will put the receivers out there that give us the best chance to win.

good job Kirby, these beat writers be writing the dumbest articles sometimes, think outside the box, don’t just write the same 💩 10 other writers are writing about

Why is that a bad thing? Smith has had 3 years to transform his body and sharpen his game. He's always had sprinter speed. IMO....it's about time. He wouldn't be playing, if he wasn't ready. I'd like to see him breakout, like Williams did with Bama.

The Dawgs certainly have a gunslinger that can get the ball to him, over the top....and, a huge, talented offensive line, to give Beck time to set up and see the field. I think it's Air'ian-time. Lol
