Knowing that Saturday night at Kroger field will be slugfest….hopefully dryer that previously expected….and seeing the Dawgs are a 24 point favorite, I was a bit sceptical but now seeing who is out, I'm not worried at all…..I know Kirby is only going to take the bare minimum necessary to get the job done….allowing more time for our "walking wounded" to get as close to 100% as possible…..I don't expect a blowout but a hard fought road win is a safe bet…..plus much needed adverse experience to help pave the way forward.

Does anyone know about Nasir Johnson? He left Saturday's game limping.

    He's 6'-6" and 340! We need him!

These downgrades are significant but hopefully depth again wins the day and the game against KY. From all I have seen and heard…KY is simply not a good team this year. SC exposed the weakness of KY new QB (Vandagriff), the offense and yes even the defense. KY may attempt to rely on the run game to the outside and a lot of check down passes. UGA will dominate both sides of the ball. Turn Etienne loose on the wideouts. Also, rifle some long balls to Arian Smith. Run B. Robinson up the middle. Kirby can use any number of combos to cross up KY defense. I would love to see more of Delp. Humphries has amazing speed as we all witnessed. UGA needs to get in , shut down KY, and score at will…beat the spread. GO DAWGS!!!

Yes, Kirby probably keeping these guys out to save for Bama and give more time for recovery. No need to risk it Saturday. But could it be longer still? Yep...I still figure Hall and Williams have a ways to go to be 100% football-ready and in playing shape with their type of injuries. And then how effective will they be when they do return if they come back too soon? We've seen that play out many times before.
