Georgia did not look like the No. 1 team in the country on Saturday when it need every second to pull out a win over the Kentucky Wildcats.

Kirby got his wish. This will give the team motivation to get the #1 ranking back.

I'm not the least bit surprised. Getting the #1 **** off our back is actually a blessing. I'd rather be at 3 or 4 and go about our business without the distraction.

Surprised we are ranked as high as #2. I would put Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, and Ole Miss ahead of us after last night’s fiasco. If Kirby keeps harping on how hard it is to win on the road, the whole team will be psyched out every time they leave Athens. KY? That’s a mediocre SEC team. Heck, their offense is terrible AT HOME. If their coach convinces them that playing a SEC game on the road is one of the most difficult tasks known to man, they will not be able to score a point away from the friendly confines of Kroger Field where they’ve averaged 10.5 points a game the last two weeks.

I thought we only cared about playing at the “Georgia Standard.” If that’s really true, why care about where or whom you play. Just go out and play ball boys and everything will be okay. But no, we would rather scare them into not being able to play basic football by telling them it’s really hard to win on the road, especially at night. That’s not a good idea.

I like this. Now let's prove we should be #1 again against Alabama in two weeks. LET'S GO DAWGS!!!

hope they’d respond like they did a couple of years ago when Tennessee was ranked #1

Nothing to see here. I agree….and AP is betting UGA will bounce back and kept them at 2 in lieu of 4 or 5,

Not sure what that was last night but I hope I never see it again. That was not a cold blustery night where you knew the passing game would be hard to come by, or any other thing I can remember. It was perfect weather. Even against Missouri up there we moved the ball but came away with FG's or turned it over. Last night was a team that looked like a complete fraud as the number 1 team in America. What an embarrassment!

If not for playing against a team that was on the brink of benching their starting QB for looking like a HS QB the week before we lose that game. We actually found a way to make BVG look like a serviceable SEC QB, and he's not. Yeh, we manged to pull out the total yardage at the end of the game but for 31/2 quarters BVG and KY out performed CB and our offense, the supposed #1 QB to be taken next year in the draft!

I watched a lot of KY"s 1st 2 games to see what kind of team and QB BVG was and I came away shaking my head thinking and this is the guy so many UGA fans were clamoring for? I honestly felt sorry for the guy while watching those 2 games against lesser teams than ours.

Our defense got gashed with the run, even when we knew that was all they had to a degree. We bent but didn't break. Good on them! But. like I said if they had an experienced QB, they win.

Bobo's play calling was dismal at best. Every time we start moving the ball through the air instead of seizing the momentum and going for the juglar, "Oh wait!" We 'd better run it a few times" . Gotta be balanced! Like 2-3 times in a row up the gut for no gain! Bobo is the drive killer. Can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve for BAMA up in their house. May the Lord have mercy on us!

I love UGA, but we either just don't have the usual dudes, or the coaching just plain ****, or some of both.

Kinda surprised we are ranked as high as #2.

My biggest concern isn't our defense as they played very well last night - 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and Walker was all over the field. We did start getting sloppy on the tackling towards the end of the game, but the guys were completely gassed. No excuse but that was a very physical KY team last night. We also allowed Vandagriff to use his feet pretty often which doesn't bode well when you are going up a very large beast of a man in Milroe in 2 weeks. He definitely used his legs effectively against the Badgers more than I have seen in a while.

No, my biggest concern is offensive production and honestly after last night, Bobo's play calling. Maybe last night was a one-off and no reason to panic, but I was shocked at seeing our offense. Ratledge being hurt was unfortunate, but the O-line did not play well even when he was in there. Even when Bama played very close games last season against Arkansas and Auburn, they were able to move the ball, score points, and had many more yards (415 & 451 yards respectively) than we had last night. Can we score TDs and move the ball effectively if Bama decides to come after Beck in the same fashion as KY did?? Beck's accuracy crumbles under pressure and he gets happy feet which is never good.

    Kirby said this:

“We’ve just got to be better … and be real honest about who we are.”

Well, we'll start finding out who and how good we really are in 2 weeks.
