4 Georgia football questions that will determine outcome of Alabama game
ATHENS — Kirby Smart and his Georgia football team know a hostile crowd await them in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

London Humphreys looked good when given the chance. Didn't see him against KY. What happened?
Why is the comment section posting multiple times? UGA isn't where they need to be to beat Bama. The offensive line can't push anyone, the defensive line gets pushed around, and Bobo is the most bland play caller. People are fooling themselves to think we can win. Kirby would need to really push the coordinators and players to make it happen.
Great questions Mike. We have yet to see any breakout players on offense for the Dawgs. But, do we really have any honestly? Not like previous seasons on offense. And is Bobo holding his cards? Where is the use of our 4+ star TEs? Did you see the offensive performance by TX in the Michigan game? That was a thing of beauty. Sark spread the ball to many players all over the field and completely outmanueved the defense. Michigan was shell-shocked. That's what I'm ready to see from our offense. Our OL has got to win the LOS for the Dawgs to have a chance. I'm hoping they are hungrier than the Tide. They need to set the tone from the start, and our offense can't be conservative. No slow start.
Has Beck been overhyped? Definitely. He's not even in anyone's Top 5 for the Heisman. Where's the leadership? Does this game put Beck back in the Heisman conversation or solidly on the outside looking in?
Our receivers are good enough if Beck has a clean pocket. If he doesn't then it could be a rough night.
Hoping we get Mykel and Warren back, but even if we do you've got to wonder if they will be anywhere close to 100% football-ready. Someone has got to shadow Milroe and that might be Walker (our lone breakout player).
Mike, thanks for sharing my concerns I've previously shared also. O-line not physical, maybe OK to win, if they can keep CB clean but running is another thing. Lets please keep from calling them the best or one of the best O-lines in the nation. I reserve the right to change my mind is we run it down BAMA's throats, but I'm not seeing that happening). I see another game of less than100 yards riushing from out RB's.
KY whipped us on the Line of scrimmage. I don't see BAMA's D-line as some kind of dropoff from KY. Our receivers don't scare anybody as mentioned. CB looking tentative instead of decisive(coached too hard to not make a mistake?) Combination of being affected by the pass rush and no receiver he completely trusts? At this point it's a mystery.
I think we need to get several receivers involved early on Saturday. Share the rock with as many as possible. Keep BAMA guessing and not fixated on stopping one or two guys.(Lovett and Bell) .
Can Bobo show some creativity? I think he's pretty hard headed myself. Often convinced he can drive a square peg in a round hole mentality. A great OC knows the strengths of each individual player and maximizes them. WHo has he made better? WHo is the guy that when draft time comes the evaluators go hum I don't know about him, is he really that good or did he just have the luxury of playing in Bobo's system?

"To put that into perspective, Bama’s Williams had 139 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first collegiate game -- on only two catches."……..Hey Mike, you failed to factor in the competition…..Western Kentucky is hardly a measure. It only proved that if you play a team with absolutely no secondary and absolutely no rush Milroe and Williams know how to play throw and catch…..playing two more cupcakes, albeit better than WK, Williams production was cut significantly….the key to a win in Tuscaloosa is to prevent Milroe runs and pressuring his passes…..then trust me, our offensive play will open up just enough to beat Bama.
@GtheGreek How about Tennessee Tech? Do we think that might have been an opportunity to spring a big play.
I agree with Mike’s over all assessment. Just want to add that we need more than just pretty decent from our run game. We need more explosive plays in the run game on a Consistent basis. Of course we won’t do that every run play but we need explosive runs on the majority. No we can’t live on the run alone, I understand that but getting more explosive run plays will Greatly Assist Beck in his passing efforts. So we need the O Line to create better holes Consistently and our RBs to better exploit those holes. I think our Dawgs can do this, I Believe they can. Our Defense needs to somehow contain Milroe ( a tough task) and force him to throw Hopefully under pressure. I’m Believing our Dawgs can beat Bama but at their house is gonna be a Huge challenge !! Go Dawgs !!
@MikeGriffith Hey Mike do you have any info. on when R. Robinson might be back ?? Thanks in advance !!
"….the key to a win in Tuscaloosa is to prevent Milroe runs and pressuring his passes….."
This is exactly right (along with not turning the ball over, which is always "the key to a win"). If the Defense is able to shut down his running option, it could frustrate him to the point that he gets careless throwing the ball. He needs to be kept on the sideline watching his Defense getting dismantled and falling behind as the clock ticks away. Keeping our offense on the field for long sustained drives that result in scoring will go a long way toward stopping Milroe!
GO DAWGS!
As I see this game the only chance UGA has to win is to attack Milroe. UGA needs to risk constant pressure on Milroe. Speed him up. Move him off his spot. EVERYBODY on the D needs to me amp'd up to cover their assignment.
The other UGA need is for the OL to somehow play up to their preseason expectations. It all starts on O with the OL opening holes and giving 15 time to throw.
A lot riding on this game. If we lose we could be staring at a 3 loss season. If they lose they could potentially have a 3 loss season. If that happens does a 3 loss SEC team get in?
Time for CB to live up to the hype, but he's not a guy that can control the game by himself. As stated he will need a clean pocket and for his receivers to get open.
I just wish I could trust Bobo. Come on Bobo make me a believer!
Great takes Mike. I agree wholeheartedly. I do think that most of the fanbase, and the media have a tendency to overcompensate their judgements this early in the season. I'm hopeful that with the week off to prepare, that we will see the second half of Clemson team. As for our receivers you referenced… we have one half against Clemson and then two dud games to judge them on. I'm withholding all judgement for now and will formulate them after we see how they perform Saturday. I appreciate your work.
Second comment. I'm absolutely astounded to see fans already turning on CB after one bad outting. He had no time 1st half vs Clemson or really at all against Kentucky lol. How is it his fault he's not in the running for the heisman? The only way he could be is if you asked him to be something he's genetically just never going to be - a mobile QB.
I mean we drove Stetson Bennett into alcoholism. Or at least it's inarguable that the toxic subset of our fanbase worsened it. How about we take it easy and let the kids settle into the season. Geeze louise people.
