    I appreciate the history lesson, but as CKS says, this is a whole new team. So in a few days we will see— I’m a bit pessimistic, but still hopeful. And if nothing else, seeing Connor call Saban a wicked witch (Baba Yaga) was worth the read. GO DAWGS!!

    Maybe we'll have a Benjamin Yurosek or a Michael Jackson sighting.

    Being of Greek descent and born & raised in The Classic City, I don't know from Bogart Baba Yaga and Slavic mythology….But I do know that Athena was the protector of Greek Heroes…..now that Nick has ascended to ESPN Olympus, I'm thinking he'll be Hercules/Kirby's Athena…..in a most "subtle" way……despite all this mytho-speculation, The Dawg 12 labors, like Hercules, 1. dominate the O-Line, 2. dominate the D-Line, 3. CB to be the field General he is capable of, 4. keep JM corralled, 5. multiple pressures/sacks on JM, 6. keep the Bama RB's corralled, 7. cover the the Bama WR's like cold on an ice cube, 8. at least 2-3 of our WR's have over 60 yds, 9. at least one of our RB's has a 100+ game, 10. of course all this means that Bobo's game plan is the most creative to date….completely befuddling the Bama Coaches, 11. that Dawg Nation shows up and lets The Tuscaloosa Tide know they're nothing more than a puddle, 12. and lastly to leave "Title Town" with a win and few to no injuries.

    @Brooksie

    He wasn't brought in to block, not that I want him not to, just put him in when its a for sure pass play and have that option. If I have a receiver who can run routes and catch passes way better than anyone else whatever he gives me in blocking is icing on the cake, If I'm Bobo running a run play or a quick screen along the line of scrimmage to a WR or RB then I would have Delp in the game, not Yurosek. Common sense stuff. If I'm coaching the offense I'm not hamstringing myself by not playing my best pass catchers if down and distance call for a pass because they aren't my best blockers on run plays. BUt that's just me.

    The way they've used Arian Smith looks like a good way to get him injured. He's not large, so running through the line isn't what he's for…but I've seen it multiple times this year.

    I don't understand about Delp / Yurosek either, unless they want Yurosek to get experience before we run the gauntlet.

    I am sick and tired of losing to Bama. This is the one I want more than any other.
