Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Chick-fil-A logo on Dooley Field
Watching the Arky game sponsored by WalMart. You know it’s coming. ****.
Comments
if you go chicken on the field, it’s gotta be Zaxby’s, right?
gotta pay for that stadium expansion when they close in the west end to make a full bowl and adding in 50 luxury boxes
Exactly. Built above the Piedmont Healthcare Sanford Drive Toll Tunnel. 50 cents on the Peach Pass each time you go through, straight to the collective.
25 cent surcharge on every draft beer sold in Athens to supplement the fund also
Well, then drink up!! But find a driver, please.
If we are going to have a sponsor logo, then Chic-Fil-A is one of the best, IMHO. It is the only fast food I eat on a regular basis. Best shakes and the sandwiches are consistently good. 😎
Their chicken is good - I will give you that, and I really like their waffle fries, but their shakes kinda SUC. Even if their shakes were good, I'd **** a little in my mouth if I saw their logo on the field. I know the corporatization of the sport is likely coming, but I don't have to like it. DQ has the best fast food shakes - 2nd place goes to Five Guys.
DQ is a Texas thing. Every little town in Texas has a DQ. CFA is all Georgia. I really hope we don't see corporate sponsorship all over the field. Next it will be on uniforms.
Then the Chick-fil-a "eat mor chikin" cows will want NIL. 😎
It makes me sick to my stomach but I'm afraid that train has left the station. We think we won't do it because of our "tradition" but money always eventually wins. Tradition will go the way of the Track People and not having names on jerseys. Thank the Dear Lord we slapped Vince's name on the field recently.
There is a much hated school with 4 National Championships located down near Coca-Cola that just sold the naming rights to their football field to a South Korean conglomerate. Kentucky went Krogering. Then there's this:
pretty soon the saudis will sports wash their blood money and buy all of college football
Growing up in GA, it seemed most towns had a DQ and it tended be the weekend gathering place. We had a few in Augusta growing up, as well as in Millen and Waynesboro where my grandmother and aunts/uncles lived and I used to be a frequent flyer at the one in Athens on Oak Street on my way back to visit my family. Great memories.
yeah DQ is a national thing. If they don’t have a DQ in the small town it’s a tastee freeze. Pretty sure DQ started in the Midwest
Really (re the shakes)? I think they are very good. Granted… DQ and some of the other ice cream places have good shakes, but their food sux. 🤣
Yeah, that’s a great memory….Tastee Freeze was everywhere in south when I was growing up…
The joke always was..” Yeah, maybe we’re a one red light town, but by Gum we have a Tastee Freeze!”
Go Dawgs!
