More statements. Where are the actions? Perhaps transfer all Texas home games for the rest of the season?

An apology is fine, but there should still be a hefty fine levied against ut for their ignorant fans acting like idiots, and possibly endangering lives by trashing their own field. It only shows their true low class colors, and their complete ignorance, nothing more. I'm sure there were cameras that caught some of those throwing bottles, and cans onto the field. These so called fans should be identified, and banned from entering the stadium premises, for at least a year. Or face a trespassing charge if you want to be S-T-U-P-I-D again and try to enter the stadium at a later date. ..

They should challenge Jackson’s targeting penalty and ejection. You are allowed to hit with the shoulder. The minor head to head contact was incidental in part because the offensive dropped his head.

The first time I ever see a reaction like what happened in Austin Saturday night in Athens will be my last game. We have our fair share of overly obnoxious fans that really make me sad. UGA fans did not respond well in the NCG against Bama. There is no excuse for Texas fans showing their Texas sized butts with this behavior … or any other team fan base but I know it will happen. There is no shortage of **** people throughout the SEC and the country. Sure, it's a small minority but these jokers seem to forget they could unintentionally injure someone. Texas should use security measures to isolate and identify violators and ban them from games for 2 years and Texas should be fined $500,000. Any other school fan base that engages in reckless behavior should take similar action and expect a heavy fine from their respective conference. Significant financial punishment and banning the perpetrators has a way of curbing this insanity. That is my statement.

Our response to the UT apology should be to call them "the second UT". They may have been in charge in the Big 12. Here, they are at best a second banana.

A 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty would go more to deter that behavior than a relatively small fine against one of the richest universities in the world.

I'm not against having a beer or a **** tonic—-I participate myself. But this won't be the last time this happens—it could happen anywhere. You know the equation—Booze + 19 year olds equals "bad decisions".

The SEC's lukewarm statement was utterly laughable. With online betting now so prevalent, it seems like these refs are in the bag for their own selfish interests. The end of the Miami vs. VA Tech game comes to mind. Tech won that game, replays showed they won the game, it was obvious to everyone, including Gene Sterrato in the booth, and they overturned it and handed the game to Miami. Unbelievable how this keeps happening. Criminal actually.
