Giving these WRs a B+ in a game where none of them reached 60 yards and only Dominic Lovett reached 5 catches - at under 7.5 yards per catch - is hilarious. Those are only good numbers for WRs in a triple option offense like 1990s Nebraska.

"It also seemed like this group struggled to get open at times."

How about all game long? Including on 2 of the 3 interceptions? (And on the 1st INT, the WR just stands there and lets the DB make a play on the ball right in front of him instead of trying to make one himself).

"This group could really use Anthony Evans and Colbie Young."

Why? Having more 3rd, 4th and 5th WRs who can't get separation and won't win 50/50 balls over the middle or down the field won't help. UGA does not have guys good enough to be #1 and #2 WRs in the SEC. That is the problem. Were UGA running the Coley offense, that would actually help matters because UGA has 3 RBs that - when healthy - are pretty good, though not Chubb, Michel, Swift level. In that scheme, Jake Fromm was effective with guys like Javon Wims, Terry Godwin and Jeremiah Holloman because they only threw the ball 15-25 times a game. If you are going to throw it 30-40 times a game you are going to need guys consistently capable of beating a defense with the talent and scheme to stop it. Giving these guys B-/B+ grades every week isn't going to change the fact that UGA doesn't have that.

You score 4 offensive touchdowns, win by double digits and hold the opposition to under 230 yards of offense; and that's only worth a C+? Every game in this league is hard, the days of beating teams by 30 points and playing your backups in the second half are over. NIL and free agency has begun to level the playing field (see Vanderbilt).

Connor’s grades this week are pretty accurate imo. To beat a bad Florida team stuck with playing a third string QB and missing numerous starters on D by 14 (but it was a tie ballgame with under 5 minutes remaining) is no better than a C+ on my grading scale. But for a botched FG attempt, we could have actually been behind with less than 5 minutes remaining. We’re also fortunate Lagway got hurt. Gotta get better.
I admit to being puzzled by Kirby’s acting like Beck is playing great. Beck is playing poorly overall. Also puzzling is the refusal to pull Beck for a series and let him observe a few plays. Surely Gunner can throw the quick screen to Lovett. Heck, most of us on this chat can throw that pass. Let him play a series occasionally. Quit babying Beck. Kirby had no problem hollering in Frazier’s face after the slashing gesture. He should have. But, a little getting in Beck’s face is needed also. Is Beck such a baby that he can’t be chastised? If so, we have more problems than I think we have.

Bobo gets an F. Beck gets an F. Don't know about Arian Smith. Never know whether he can catch the ball or not, but he is not a reliable pass receiver. Who has been coaching and mentoring Smith?

Smart probably can't wait for the end of the season so Beck can go away.

I really thought CKS would come out in the 2nd half with Gunner, if for no other reason than he can run the ball. Him not even warming up on the sideline speaks volumes for where CKS thinks Gunner is. WHich in and of itself is disheartening for next year. Manning will slide right in at Texas, nothing lost.

We should give Florida Beck and $1M for their Yale transfer QB. My biggest fear right now is, when Beck learns that he won’t be drafted, in ANY round, he’ll come back next year for his 6th season.

Arrogance is a deadly trait and causes many to self destruct. Beck is said to suffer from it and the last few weeks give us the results. Hopefully he has been humbled enough to now listen to his coaches.

No major disagreements with the grades nor the comments. Just a couple of things to add. Beck has played so inconsistently this year that not much is being made of it, but I think Malachi Starks has regressed as well, on the defensive side of the ball. He's taking bad angles to the football and on tackles and, like yesterday, he's getting caught with his eyes in the backfield way more than he did previously. Not sure what's going on with him, but I think he and Beck have both played themselves out of the first round. And secondly, I'm just saying, but Xavier Truss plays dirty on the sly. He's already been penalized for it twice this year, and he was actually flagged for it on Saturday until the referees realized he actually didn't land on a player — but he was trying to. He hits guys late, sometimes when they're on the ground, and he blatantly taunts after big plays. I'm just saying, it's going to catch up to him — and us — at the most inopportune moment if Kirby & Co. don't address it. And finally, not crying sour grapes, but on Florida's last touchdown, there was a blatant hands to the face of Tyrone Ingram-Dawkins that the referees just missed. A legitimate penalty, not a "hands to the shoulder pads" like what got called on us the play before. Go Dawgs!
