Kirby Smart knew the challenge he faced when the schedule came out, his Bulldogs facing one of the toughest road slates in league history.

Kirby and all SEC teams better get used to this kind of tougher schedule going forward. Heck, it's rinse and repeat for the Dawgs next season. And then we probably will be adding a 9th conference game too.
Both the off-season portal moves and recruiting together will be the keys for teams to being able to compete at the highest level. Which teams can be the best at doing both? I'm becoming more and more a believer in the power of the portal. I hope Kirby does too.
You can feel it, see it and sense it—the players have a definite lack of motivation. The Ole Miss players on the sideline were wound up, jumping and yelling all night. Nobody on the Georgia sideline showed any of that. This transferred directly to the field.
Smart needs to make changes at Offensive Coordinator.
I’m confident most of us will be ecstatic to beat the Vols and not trip-up against the bugs in our final game. It’s not the end of the world to be left out of the SEC CG. The loser of that game may have 3 losses and likely won’t be a top 8 team. That means the loser would have to travel for a first round game and would be banged up from the SEC CG. If our Dawgs win out we may avoid the SEC CG, host the first round and have time to rest. That’s why I don’t think our situation is dire, but if we lose to Tenn then all bets are off the table. Go Dawgs!!!
That’s the issue. Not all SEC teams had this tough a schedule. Ole Miss definitely didn’t.
I felt the same. Remember how fired up players were when Stet first got min a game both offense and defense. Yelling Mailman. None of that for Beck and nobody fired up in a game. Stet would fire them up.
This loss wasn't on any one person or position. We're beat up injury wise but so are most teams at this point in the season. It's a brutal schedule for sure, but something else is missing from this team, real leadership from within. We got beat in almost every phase of the game by a better team.
That said, the season isn't over, this group could rebound and reinvent itself with some injury recovery, and wins over the Vols and Tech. Seems like our spark plugs are a bit fouled out at this point, IMO a tune up is needed CKS. That could be a temp QB change, regardless of fault Beck just hasn't met the grade this year. Bobo's play calling and creativity is no where near that of Todd Monken, it's evident we're also missing Dan Lanning, Sam Pittman and others. Real Leadership starts at QB and it's been missing, all year, his support cast is either sub par or they just don't have his back.
The portal has wreaked havoc on some of our premier players going to other places. The age of NIL is here and we need to learn to play the game to keep our players committed. Then again for those that get angry, disgusted, depressed, just get a life and find other things to focus on.

Really depends on which Georgia team shows up if we beat Tennessee or Tech. There are big problems on the offensive line. When you rush for 59 rushing yards on 33 attempts you've got issues. One example was a hand off to Cash Jones. As he looked to find a gap ALL four Ole Miss defensive linemen zeroed in on him. Our guys were blocking air. Was the snap count too obvious? And Beck had very little time to get rid of the ball as the pass rush was consistently in his face (5 sacks) because our perimeter blocking is terrible. So to beat the rush we start to throw screens and quick routes and the WRs couldn’t beat press man coverage. You can blame Beck, you can blame Bobo, but if you can't block up front and win the trenches then it really won't matter. The results will be the same.
Indeed, having players like receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint or backs Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton still on the roster — players went undrafted — would have provided quite a lift.

If we can’t do the fundamentals of blocking, catching, covering, and tackling there will be no playoff appearance for this team.
This was a whole team loss. O-Line was awful, they couldn't pass or run block. WRs and TEs once again can't catch balls thrown to their hands or numbers on the jersey. This is why we lead the nation in dropped passes. Outside of the first series, we had ZERO pressure on the Ole Miss QBs. Coverage guys were playing like 2-3 yards off receivers making it easy for Dart tio complete passes especially since he had all the time in the world with no QB pass rush by GA. Did we make ANY adjustments DURING the game? I don;'t understand how other teams can and will, but we refuse unless it's halftime.
To me it looks like CFB starting to resemble the NFL. What I mean is when the players sense that the game or season is done they are packing it in. You saw it yesterday when fierce division rivals Dallas/Philly played. Cowboys hung pretty close for a while. When Philly started to break it open(14-6 at half, ended 34-6) Cowboys packed it in. They made a "business decision". That is what this UGA team looks like it is doing. UGA players not putting it on the line for the team.
Sports Writer Seth Emerson wrote a great piece in the Athletic…and in it he wrote:

What is the one thing that this team is very good at? What is the thing that you can count on this team being good at in any game, no matter what? Well, other than the punter and the kicker, who both are doing their jobs very well. The fact they are inarguably the best things about this team right now says enough. "
