ATHENS — Ole Miss readily admitted that its season was on the line last week when it faced Georgia. It came out and played like it against Georgia, with the Rebels picking up a massive win over the Bulldogs.

Kirby knows there's no sense in putting even more pressure inside that pressure cooker. Everyone in the stadium and playing on the field for both teams will know what is at stake with this game. There's no way to hide it, and really no way to downplay it. Dawgs gotta have a good, solid week of practice and go out and play how we know they are capable of playing…when they want it…when they have felt disrespected…when the chips are down.

    That's it.

The question then becomes…Who wants it more?

Tennessee has a comparable D-line to Ole MIss and the best RB in the SEC, from what I hear. Hope Bobo can figure out a way to buy CB some time without just throwing it east and west. We don't seem to be able to block enough to spring the receiver. Can we teach Delp how to chip on a rusher? Whats the weather forecast? Hopefully it won't be raining. Only Ole Miss's receivers can catch in the rain.

I say turn CB loose and trust him. He looked scared to make a mistake against Ole MIss. Instill some confidence in him this week! Pass on 1st down whenthey thing you're going to run it.

THere was a lot made on David Pollacks' podcast of how much Ole MIss passes on1st down, like 75% of the time this season and yet our D-line was playing for the run every time. That's a coaching thing our coaches should know.

We came out in the 2nd half and ran misdirection and it was working against their aggressive D-line and LB's til Nate fumbled. Then we didn't go back to it.

Who says we have to wait til the 2nd half? Tennessee will use the same blueprint.

Facts are we're probably not getting in with three losses. Whatever mindset you want to bring to that fact, is up to you.

Reposting parts of a previous post given it's highly relevant here. If this upcoming game is about "who wants it more" (as appropriately pointed out by @MontanaDawg), then someone on this team should be desperate… perhaps maybe more than just the diehard fans? The photo below, taken during the second half of the Ole Miss game, should worry all Dawgs supporters. It is 100% indicative of the leadership issue UGA has at its #1 role for on-field generalship, QB1.

Posting this now will seem "sour grapes" given the Ole Miss loss, but Lisa and I have felt this way for over a month: for the first time in over 30 years of watching Dawgs football, neither of us can stomach watching this team play and it's 100% due to Carson's poor leadership behaviors. Win or lose, watching his complete lack of respect for the mantle of leader of this historically world-class group of athletes is gut-wrenching.

Even watching the wins, including the biggest like Texas and Clemson, is difficult if, like us, you watch the players' behavior when they're not on the field. While it starts with CB, it's not much better elsewhere. Who is stepping up in Carson's place (since he can't or won't) to fire up the team… either to turn things around or to keep them motivated once ahead on the scoreboard? As far as players… no one I can see. If you look back at the replays, it's mostly Kirby and a few of his coaches firing people up.

Where is the next SBIV, Jordan Davis, Roquan Smith, Nakobe Dean, or even JDJ to energize their brothers? That sound you hear while you're waiting for an answer is crickets… it's nobody. Not that they're not there, it's just that watching your QB1 say for the 100th time "it is what it is" has now infected the rest of the team, IMHO

Kirby can say what he wants. It's his job to be optimistic and build up his players. But there can be no denying it now: CB is not a leader and never will be… to quote a poster of the below photo on X, "dude don't gaf"… possibly harsh, but not far off.

Watch what people do vs what they say. CB has shown us who he is, so let's believe him. I've spent decades planning my Saturdays in September-November around one thing (even when Georgia was performing miserably some years): watching UGA football. While we will ALWAYS be pulling hard for the Dawgs, we've decided to take some Saturdays off or maybe watch a recording after the fact for some of the rest of the season… it's too soul-crushing to watch a QB1 that appears to care less about the outcome than we do 🙄

I am 78, and been watching the Dawgs, since they first televised games. I and along with friends, feel the same way, it's hard to watch this team. I can't put my finger on it though. They have had an incredible run in the past few years, so you can't be too hard on them, but there is definitely something wrong with this team. Constant speeding violations, arrest, injuries, dropped balls, ( they are first in dropped passes ) the only first ,they will earn this year. It will be interesting, to see how far Beck falls, in the draft. I will be cheering for them on Saturday night, but not expecting much. The bright spot is, there are some players, that are trying hard to get better! Why is Beck on the sidelines, sitting, instead of inspiring his teammates.

To rob blatantly from a present day college football advertisement, I think KS needs to get SEVERAL guacamole trays ready before our next kickoff!

iIt is frustrating to know that they can beat the #1 ranked team this week, and lose the following week to #10. Maybe the parity is real this year.

To Nathan 1942 you are absolutely correct about something has changed and it definitely has. For one thing and I just found out about this is that Beck now has a girlfriend so now he has a distraction from football that he didn't have before, I don't know how much it is influencing his life but it is some. I don't know anything about her an hope that they have a very good relationship, BUT it is still a distraction. As far as the rest of the team goes "GET YOUR S%#T TOGETHER" and play Dawg football.

All I can say is that the Dawgs better get their heads and butts wired together or they'll be playing in some 2nd tier bowl and be lucky to get that. This team is unmotivated, lackadaisical and this new crap laughing and joking after you lose? What's up with that?
