A total team win like I said they needed last week. I didn't quite get the score right, but I was close. I called it 31-21. We needed better from CMB and CB and we got the best versions of themselves. Bobo stayed on the attack, not falling prey to his usual move it through the air for 2-3 first downs and then run it up the gut twice in a row and get behind the sticks. He understood our best attack would be through the air and not on the ground. It was his best play calling over a whole game I have seen. Lots of 1st down passes.

CB regained his confidence and just let it loose like he had to do. He had been playing to try to not make mistakes. I saw the same thing happen with Stetson when Kirby kept on him to not make mistakes. Like a baseball coach telling a pitcher "don't walk him!" and then he ends up walking him. WHy? Because he's focused on the wrong thing. I don't know if we will go deep into the playoffs (provided we beat Tech) but I like our chances when the CB that played Saturday night shows up and the CMB play calling we saw too.

THe defense was very good, I thought they allowed too much yardage after contact by Samson. I was thingking this guy must be 220 or something and then they showed a close up of to me what looked like a guy that wan't much bigger than Dajun Edwars.-LOL Go DAWGS!

About time the TE's started making an appearance. Puzzling why this group hasn't been able to do this all year consistently. Makes you begin to appreciate exactly how great a player Bowers was compared to this group of good players.

What to do with this OL? Need some depth but Freeling looks like a better LT than Greene. Is Greene a better RT than Truss? Is Truss a better LG than Fairchild? Can Morris play at all? Can he play RT2? UGA may need to reshuffle this OL to achieve a long run in the playoffs. Giant RT2 Jackson may be a key player in the playoffs if UGA shuffles the OL like it should..

Dan Jackson missed tackle on TN TD run up the middle in 2Q. Dan Jackson missed tackle on long TN punt return. He also had at least 1 other missed tackle in the game. UGA missed a lot of tackles in this game and a lot of tackles this year. Very un-UGA like.

We may have seen the last of Julian Humphrey in a UGA uniform unless someone gets hurt. He has not improved all year. He will not stick around as a reserve. The TP opening during the playoffs is a concern here.

Look for early mass substitutions vs MA this week if UGA can start fast. Play the walk on RB's. Play the young OL, WR's and QB's on O. ALL the young guys on D.

Winner: Xavian Sorey AR LB - formerly of UGA. Multiple impressive plays vs TX. All over the field.

Time to see if the new SEC rule on faking injury has any teeth.

TN's up tempo offense did not work at all. Our LBs were on the QB all night. Gotta shout out to RB Nate Frazier who stepped it up as Etienne was a no show for fractured ribs. Where has Delp been? Carson to Delp on a rope several times for two TDs. What a night. Yurosek too. Finally…Carson Beck nailed it. No picks! Two almost Bennett-like scrambles for big yardage and a TD! Nearly 350 yds passing. Much higher confidence. Keep it up Carson. Helmets off to Bobo too. Mixed up the scheme and kept TN guessing. I liked the Monken in him. Great performance by our Dawgs!!!

    A few thoughts:

    1. Overall great game by the Dawgs and the coaching staff.

    2. I don't think Bobo suddenly got smarter. I just think the players repeatedly executed his calls at a high level for a change, which enabled him to keep calling plans that kept working, which in turn made him look a whole lot smarter in this game. Much easier to make calls for 2nd and 5 or 3rd and 1, than it is for consistently calling 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 9.

    3. We'll never know the whole truth, but I don't think Ernest Greene didn't start because of his injured shoulder. Injury or no, I believe he's underperformed most of the year and the coaches finally decided they had to do something. Maybe we should stop rotating linemen, and just stay consistent like we did Saturday night.

    4. Someone said it earlier, but I think Julian Humphrey is headed for the portal. And to be honest, I think the same goes for Joenel Aguero. As far as I can tell, he didn't play at all Saturday night and I don't believe he was injured. The entire Dawg defense has regressed some this year — including Malachi Starks — but I think Humphrey and Aguero have just been lost on the field, like they're just in over their heads.

    5. Finally, I've rarely seen a coach as hang-dog after a loss as Heupel was Saturday night., almost like he was thinking, "if we couldn't beat Georgia tonight, when will we?" And he was like that although Tennessee is STILL in the playoff hunt. Say and think what you will about Billy Napier and Florida, but one thing I have to say for him is that despite all the chaos and turmoil he went through before and during this season, he has remained poised and classy. There's something to be said for that.

@DallasDawg 5. Finally, I've rarely seen a coach as hang-dog after a loss as Heupel was Saturday night.

That was the look of a guy who just realized that Iamaleava is more Joe Milton than Hendon Hooker. Iam has consistently overthrown wide open TN WR's 3 steps beyond the DB covering them. Not only that but he was consistently throwing behind TN WR's crossing the middle. He has been on campus 2 yrs working on his accuracy.

Arm strength is great but accuracy is king for a QB in CFB. It doesn't seem to be there. A la Milton.

As for Aguero, you may be right but I think he could be salvaged. He looks like he has a clue out there but panics in pass defense. I read somewhere that he had a pin placed in his hand and would've had to play with a club on his hand. That is the reason he didn't play vs TN.

Humphrey is the most spastic CB I have seen on a contending CFB team in years. Whatever technique the UGA coaches are teaching him is not working. Too much watching the QB and not enough watching the WR.
