Marcus Freeman: Notre Dame plans for ‘violence and velocity’ against Georgia in Sugar Bowl
NEW ORLEANS — Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman isn’t looking for any more Sugar Bowl history lessons, likely because he and his program have been on the wrong side of them.

Off Topic..Alabama just lost to a weak 7-5 Michigan team in their bowl game 🤣😂🤣
1SICemDAWGS1 Michigan had an 11-2 defense and a 3-9 offense this year. Which got them to 8-5 with victories over Ohio State and Bama in back-to-back games :-)
But yeah, looks like the Kalen DeBoer hire won't last. And that the string of Alabama QBs in the NFL (I say Jalen Hurts, Tua, Mac Jones, Bryce Young) is now broken with Jalen Milroe. Going 2-0 against UGA will be the highlight of his football career.
Bama is done. And LSU will be getting rid of their coach about the same time that Bama ditches theirs. And Tennessee is a fraud, though somewhat less so than the Butch Davis and Jeremy Pruitt years. The coaches at Oklahoma and Auburn won't last the long haul either, and Florida is at best 2 years away in what would be their current QB's junior season. The SEC is now Georgia and Texas in that order.
Yeah I just got in from a medical procedure ( No Big Deal) but they put me to sleep for about 30-45 minutes. All went well and God is Great !! Anyway I saw the last just under two minutes of it.
I tell you what Bama has ALLOT of work to do !! Defenses have figured Milroe out !! And some people might say I’m crazy but I think the Dawgs set the mold for that Even in a loss. Beating our Dawgs was the greatest accomplishment of Bama’s season. But that’s All they have to hang their hats on. Go Dawgs !!
I wish All my fellow Dawgs fans a Very Happy and Great New Year !! God is so Great !! Go Dawgs !!
Big 10 fans are having a ball right now with the mocking "SEC SEC SEC" chants. As Bama and Tennessee losing helps Georgia (recruiting etc.) I don't mind much.
Happy Wife, Happy Life……just finished watching The Wolverines eat Milroe's lunch…My Big Blue Michigan Grad wife is still jumpin around screaming…..you'd think Big Blue won another Natty…..I reminded my wife they won despite Sherrone Moores and their OC's incompetence and goofy play calls….but good enough to beat Bama…..now, if they can find an OC and a QB…..Oh, a new OC and QB are in the wings…..can't wait til 2025!!!!
@GtheGreek
Michigan hit the portal hard the last couple of years of Jim Harbaugh's tenure and as a result had an insane 18 players invited to the combine, 13 of whom were drafted. (Point of comparison: UGA sent 14 players to the combine in 2022, the year that they had 15 drafted). After losing all that plus their head coach and most of their assistants as DC Jesse Minter and many of the rest followed Harbaugh to the Chargers or got promotions elsewhere, going 8-5 with victories over Ohio State and Bama actually was a good year for them, especially considering their main problem was not having a QB due to J.J. McCarthy leaving early. (Funny enough, if McCarthy returns Michigan makes the playoff and McCarthy goes #1 overall in the draft, but hindsight is 20/20).
“Violence & Velocity, well that’s just my game"……. Kirby Smart & the Dawgs!
Violence & Velocity…..sounds like 'Ole Marcus went to the Crying Brent Key school of tough talking.
Hope everything is okay my friend! Glad you are up and around!
Happy New Year to you and all my Dawg friends!!!!!
Go Dawgs! Make it 5 in 2025!
Repeat……Go Dawgs!
Thx my Bro !! God Bless you and family and All our Dawgs fans !! Hope 2025 is Great for All of you !! Go Dawgs !!
If Notre Dame “out physicals” our Dawgs tomorrow night, then they will win and I will tip my cap to them, no excuses.
But if they do NOT out physicals the Dawgs and still win, then Coach Bobo and Coach Smart need to be asked some tough questions in this offseason.
No reporters should be laying down for them the way they do for that incompetent Coach Morris of the Falcons.
Alabama lost the "turnover" battle to Michigan. Happy New Year all you good Dawg fans. My heart is already racing just thinking about the Sugar Bowl!! GO DAWGS
After four months of football, I'm sorry to say that the three B1G teams have looked like the best teams in the land. We haven't put together the complete games that any of them have.
Notre Dame? Hard to tell IMO. They've played well against mediocre opponents. But they haven't faced the kind of opposition that Oregon, OSU or PSU have — much less that Georgia has.
I have faith that we'll beat both Notre Dame and, then, PSU. We're one of the top two in talent, so we can put it together. But it's my belief in our Dawgs that drives that faith — not their performance.
