Considering it was his 1st start, and in a CFP game, i think Gunner handled it rather nicely. I can't wait until next season to watch him improve as he gains experience..GoDAWGS!

O line will only get better if searels hits the door. He wasn’t good under Richt, and he’s not any better now. They are the reason we couldn’t run the ball this season. Get Luke back as O line coach from clemson.
This loss is not on Stockton. He tried to execute every pathetic play called, which most were not set up to his strengths.
The O line and the kickoff team gave up 14 points which was the difference in the game.
The kid bumping the receiver, who won’t be on the team next season, cost us a TD. Etienne cost us points with his fumble. If we score 10 or 14 points on those two possessions, instead of just 3, it’s a whole different ballgame, and we’re probably on the way to the semis. They didn’t beat Georgia, Georgia beat themselves with pathetic coaching, play calling, execution, and sideline discipline.

Gunner gunned it well for the most part. He should be able to win the starter slot next season. I want a whole new OL and OC! Plus WR room needs to clear out some and develop new sticker hands. Drops! Cash Jones was a bright spot….leaping into the end zone after a solid catch and run. Nice ball by Gunner on that wheel. Teams are now catching up with Georgia. Many are NILing recruits of elite status…Georgia needs this. I suspect many to hit the portal after this dismal showing. There are no more dynasties. NIL is where it is at now. I hate it but that is the reality. Look at Ohio State.

Gunner played well enough for us to win. A bad decision by coaches to not simply go into halftime down 6-3 changed the whole dynamic. We got too far behind and had to pass up two makable FGs. Without the gift of 7 points at the end of the half, we very likely win the game.
I like Gunner’s competitiveness and guts. That deep pass to Smith, was the first deep pass of the entire season that was dead on the money. The deep ball to Bell was also a nice throw.
Our tackling was embarrassingly poor. Missed tackle after missed tackle. Very frustrating.

I'm sorry, but I hope they just don't anoint Stockton as the starter. He played an OK game, but he certainly didn't turn in an All-Star performance. And yes, I understand the circumstances. But I really want to see what Rashada and Pugliisi can do. He's not automatically the best QB on the team just because he was #2 this year. None of us have seen Rashada or Puglisi in real, live-game action. They may throw nice deep balls, too. Maybe they run faster. Or see the field better. I don't know. I just don't want everyone — including the players and the coaches — to get locked in on Gunner Stockton automatically being the starter next season. Because to many commenters even on this site, Stockton should have started ahead of Beck THIS SEASON.

Nope. Carson Beck hit Smith in the hands in the Alabama game on the EXACT play call that he caught in today's game. If Smith catches that pass against Alabama, our entire season may have turned out differently, or probably, Beck's entire season. Stockton threw some nice deep balls, but he had some wildly errant throws, too, like on that second to last drive of the first half. Not here to hate on Stockton, but also not looking at him through rose-colored glasses.

The redzone is where a QB earns his strips and we did not score after several trips there. In fact, we only scored after a busted play and that is just not good enough. I think Stockton played ok given it was his first start, but I would not go further than that.

Gunnar would be fine behind a decent OL. What do you think Stetson would have looked like in his first start behind this OL? I know Bell's comments came with emotion, but he is only returning receiver who has gotten a lot of targets that needs to improve. Smith and Lovett are seniors. Sacovie White on the other hand has caught every catchable ball thrown his way, but yet he is on the sidelines. There will have to be a lot of decisions made that are going to hurt some feelings if there is going to be a return to "The Standard" as Kirby calls it.
