Running has been a steady regression for several years now. THere have been times even in the NC years where we had hard times on 3rd and 1 or 2 and had to pass the ball or risk getting stuffed.

My fellow Dawgs fans I say this not with negativity but with sincerity and compassion. Don’t expect monumental program altering things from Kirby this spring.

His Daddy ( like mine was to me ) was his Hero. Kirby will be a body functioning without much of a mind for at least a while. I know Kirby is one more tough hombre mentally but losing his Daddy will be tough tough for him to get over for a time. Those of you who have lost your Daddy know what I mean. You walk around in a fog just operating sort of robotic.
If anyone can regain their full concentration quickly it’s Kirby. But the man is gonna need time to grieve. And above all he’s gonna need Our support and prayers. Dawgs Will be ready to roll come game one. Go Dawgs !!

These guys practice hard for months. The amount of energy and stamina that it must take to play a position on the line must be enormous. Maybe they just got out "physicalled" by better talent. Everyone has limitations, so it is quite reasonable to conclude that their opponent was the better talent. Our guys played well enough to go 11-3 and win the SEC Championship. Throughout the season it was obvious that they struggled for one reason or another and could not dominate but somehow found a way to win. Let's hope that in the future we can pick up the talent needed to go all the way. Coaching will only take you so far, the players have to execute and part of that equation is natural ability. Some guys have more than others.

    Hey

We won the SEC but we had too many issues this year.

We got to get better coaching because 2 times this season bama and this Game we gave away points when we should have gotten out of the quarter and went to half time.

We have to go get some weapons at WR

We have to get better on the O line

The last time (before this game) where I heard numerous mentions about Georgia's O line and their impressive weight, it was when our guys were "larger than they have in the NFL" and… they absolutely ****. I'm not sure weight is necessary what is needed. You have to be able to move.

The O-Line has lots of talent and has criminally under-performed under Coach Searels. It's past time for a change. Same for our offensive coordinator, who, if he had an ounce of love for the University, would resign and spare Coach Smart the agony of firing his friend.

This is why I was tickled pink when we landed Fairchild, a state champion wrestler, as a highly rated OL recruit. Having wrestled on a state championship team myself (though no great shakes, personally), I know you don't reach that level without amazingly quick hands and feet, incredible agility, keen sense of angles and leverage, and of course power/strength. I'm confident he has all the tools to be dominant, as do many of his OL comrades. Hopefully it'll all come to fruition in 2025. Go Dawgs!
