NEW ORLEANS — The normally stoic Smael Mondon finally displayed some emotion. After four years, multiple injuries and pouring everything he could into the Georgia program, Mondon finally showed how he was feeling as he embraced Glenn Schumann in the locker room.

As Pollack said so fittingly at the beginning of this season..." I see a lot of very good players on this Georgia team, but not a lot of great. " At this moment, I'm seeing the same kind of roster for 2025. Will some freshman step up and really turn heads? Is there a Jeremiah Smith kind of player in one of these new wide receivers ? Boy, we could sure use it. Who will emerge as the undisputed starting QB? We may all assume it's Gunner, but I bet Kirby looks for a competitive Spring practice to decide it.

2024 was a tough season for the Dawgs, but we fought through adversity, won the SECCG, and made the playoffs. Not bad.

For me, Ohio State is the best team, by far, in the country. If they play like they did against the Vols and Oregon, the Natty is theirs to lose. They've taken some of the best recruited players and paired them with a $20M NIL/transfer portal dream team. And if the Buckeyes win it all, the question becomes: Is that what it takes now to win a National Championship?

    NEVER QUIT…..because BETTER NEVER REST

If The Fighting Irish can overcome the lose to a mid level MAC team and use that inspiration to develop into a possible NATTY Champion…..YEP, They're going to beat Penn St….mark my words…..The DAWGS have plenty of "humble pie" to propel the next iteration of DAWG DOMINANCE into next years Natty conversation….I, for one can't wait to see how Kirby & Company mold and develop the 2025 DAWG edition….as I am sure will NEVER QUIT and NEVER REST! PROUD TO BE A DAWG FOR LIFE!

Agree with All you said Brother but one thing. Just my opinion but Penn St. will defeat ND. Why do I say that ? Ohio St. only beat Penn St. by a TD and the Lions played them hard to the end. In the Sugar Bowl the Dawgs beat the Dawgs. I won’t rehash what’s been rehashed already so many times. But it’s simple you can’t have turnovers and win.

STILL I’m Very Proud of these Dawgs. They fought hard, never gave up, and never laid down for anyone. There were just to many problems Season Long that they couldn’t over come. The turnovers coupled with those same problems showed up in the Sugar Bowl and they couldn’t over come it.

The 2024 Dawgs were a Proud and Tough team. And really a pretty good team over all. Not winning a Natty is not or Should not be a thing of shame. Not gonna win it every year or every other year.

The thing is come back Strong for this 2025 and Win !! Go Dawgs !!

Yep, Ohio State’s big-money roster was put together with the sole intention of winning a national championship. Appears that roughly 10 players made $1 million or more each. Buckeyes have the best team money can buy right now.

@Stiffneck….yep, and you can't fault the Buckeyes…they are playing by the rules. Deep pockets can win Championship along with top ranked recruiting classes. I think it takes BOTH. Kiffin can't seem to get it done with just a bunch of transfers for Ole Miss. He needs to up his recruiting as well if he wants to really make a deep playoff run. The Rebels have definitely improved, but they aren't elite by any means.

Just my opinion. And I really don’t care. But Penn State will face Ohio State in the Natty and OSU will win by 14 points or more.

@MontanaDawg  Ohio State definitely has the resources - led the country in revenues. They also had, I think, four key defensive starters that would have gone early in the draft last year but opted to came back (more NIL money). We will see if all that spending pays off. Ole Miss benefited on the defensive line. The Rebels think they can get the same caliber of guys in the portal, as they have trouble recruiting five-stars.
