Yep. I hope he comes back and finishes the job where he started the job. That is the perfect ending, imo

Finally someone gets it. Thanks Mike.

With the receiving group currently at UGA, Beck should return but if he does not I wish him well. A two year starter at UGA playing his final year somewhere else for money should not be the case. There are enough NIL dollars in and around Atlanta that he should be in red and black next year. I hope Kirby get this done. Nothing against Stockton but where we want to go experience counts and Beck has a lot of it. I look forward to reading the comments on here. I won't defend Bobo because he is in charge of the offense and the O line was just not UGA standard this year. I got a feeling Beck has played his last game at UGA and it should not be that way.

is another “college” program really going to “pony up” millions for a guy who just had surgery on throwing arm that will keep him out of spring practice. This is not NFL, yet, and unless you could include “performance targets” in a contract for the NIL money, I just can’t see a school committing that much of their NIL budget to a 1 and done.

Great coverage, Mike. The exotic car and tatoo, and even the real-time performance, didn't concern me as much as the sidelines behavior— when things went wrong on offense, you rarely saw Beck studying an i-pad or huddled with coaches/players scheming and amping how to get it back (like you might a Cam Ward or Quinn Ewers or even Stetson Bennet), but instead sitting by himself on the bench, staring off into space. Thanks for the reminders and putting it all into perspective. Carson was, is, and always will be a DGD. Go Dawgs!

I have nothing against Beck and wish him well. Maybe Beck doesn’t want to get slaughtered behind the lack of protection from the O line. Can’t blame him there. Cant blame him for trying to protect his future either.

What has me really concerned going into 2025 is the seemingly lack of coaching changes by Kirby. And Yes I’m talking about Searls. He had a very solid corps of players to work with. But we all saw the results.

Now allot of those guys will be gone. Can Searls Coach UP new players no matter how talented in HS they were ?? I don’t think he can.

I love ole Kirby and I’m So grateful for all he’s done. But as the HC he’s Got to have the leadership ability to Fire people when needed. I can’t see any Real and Substantial reasons for Searls failures.

Prior to the 2024 campaign countless Dawgs fans Including Me were salivating at the prospects of having a Premier O Line. And we got far from it.
NO QB can have high level and sustained success without at least a pretty good and Consistent O Line. Then when you factor in the worse level of drops by receivers in All CFB !! It’s to much to over come.

In addition the QB couldn’t count on Consistent help from the running game, Again primarily due to the O Line.

I’m a recliner chair cheerleader for the Dawgs but I Do have at least some realism. Kirby will not fire Bobo and I’m on the fence of whether he Should fire Bobo. It ain’t gonna happen as their friendship is to deep.

Coley is to good at recruiting and he to is pretty good friends with Kirby. So what to do ?? Fire Searls and find the best O Line Coach that $$$ can induce to come to UGA !!

Move Coley over to another unit let him keep his pay and be an Assistant What Ever. Either put some one with Solid receivers experience from within or Agaon go out and find a great receivers coach.

There are also question marks at Defensive Line but at the moment that Might be lack of players than coaching.

Get the O Line and Receivers problems fixed and it’ll give whoever is QB a fighting chance. If not I’m afraid we’re looking at a subpar season and distancing the Dawgs further away from Elite status. P.S. It seems we have some pretty good receivers coming in. So there’s room for hope there.

Great read Mike! It's hard for me to believe that another program is best for Beck in 2025, especially since he can't throw until sometime in the Spring. He'll have to learn a new coaching staff, play book and all new receivers basically in fall camp. He already knows this staff, the play book, and has experience with several returning receivers and tight ends and there would be much less pressure in fall camp with UGA than fall camp with a new school. If NIL is his primary objective, then I understand, but football wise, I don't understand right now.

After seeing how this season played out, it’s clear Beck felt the need to try to make plays based on the pitiful offensive line play, lack of a running game because of that, and receivers that dropped balls like hot potatoes and couldn’t block worth a flip. Unfortunately, he ruined his draft stock with forced interceptions, trying to make plays that weren’t there. His flashy flaunting of his money probably rubbed some of his teammates the wrong way. He saw how his teammates seemed to be more fired up for Stockton when he entered the game than at any point this season with Beck as the starter.
Georgia needs to move on from Beck. There’s no guarantee he’ll be back to 100% by the start of next season, and Kirby will miss out on big name QBs if Beck returns to Georgia.
I don’t like how the portal and NIL are affecting college football, especially with players looking more to the money and possible playing time. I get it. But this new generation of players have no idea what being true to their school means.
    As always, Go Dawgs!

In the end, it’s business as usual in the transfer portal: players come, players go, but one thing’s for certain—Georgia’s next QB is probably going to need a personal shield, a new set of receivers, and possibly a few motivational quotes to get through the season. So, here’s hoping Beck can finally get a good night’s sleep without worrying about who’s going to miss that perfectly thrown ball next time. It will be interesting to see how Dawg fans with their poor and convenient memories will feel about him a decade from now.

Don't know where you writers get the idea that Beck is hated. I don't know of a single soul who doesn't really appreciate what Carson Beck has meant to this program, and I associate with a LOT of other Georgia fans. All the best in what you do, Carson!! DGD

I don,t wish CB any ill will. I hope he is happy wherever he ends up. I think he is hoping for a wide open offense and a strong season to improve his draft grade.I also think he knew with all the reps on first team, Gunner would be hard to displace so off he goes. I do hate the game, NIL is going to kill college football as we know it. Teenagers with parents, friends and agents whispering in their ear how great they are and how much more money they could make somewhere else can't end well.

FWIW…This TEAM played a tough schedule…we had some very untimely injuries as well as bonehead missteps..a lot of times we were self destructing by just not executing well….I read where, on average any of 2-3 needed receptions instead of dropped passes, changes the entire play of the game….such is the way football is…As for CB….it's only on him, when his play is not up to the challenge….he shouldn't be dinged for poor receiver play or running back carry…As for all that has happened up till now…he has had to make some "business decisions" that is just the way things are now…I wish him the absolute best in his future play and will always see him as a DGD. Go DAWGS!!!
