Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia football podcast: ESPN challenges UGA to ‘get back to basics’ to fix offensive issues
Georgia football is the No. 1 topic every day on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for fans of the Georgia Bulldogs. Catch up on everything happening with UGA athletics with host Brandon Adams and the DawgNation experts as they break down the latest Georgia football recruiting news and discuss coach Kirby Smart’s quest to return the Bulldogs to the top of the college football world. On episode No. 2372 (Jan. 21 2025) of the podcast, Georgia fans can hear why they might not like where ESPN has the Dawgs in its way too early top 25.

I'm not exactly sure what basics are but if it is blocking, tackling and catching passes I'm all for it
ESPN telling Georgia and Kirby what they need to do?
LMAO!
That's a joke right?
They can't even be impartial.
They hate UGA and love them some ND, Bama, the Suckeyes and Michigan.
Basics?
How about stopping the portal, NIL madness and teams stealing our players to make them better and us weaker.
And while we're at it…stop letting teams buy a championship with top salaries for teenagers playing a game. Their education, places to live, books, transportation, clothes/gear, meals, training to become better pros is already paying them a lot. The average student must pay their own bills. Its madness!
Otherwise….Georgia, fans, big money boosters, etc. need to pony up to compete any more. IOW lets get the best team money can buy like the Bucknuts! They bought a championship which makes it invalid. CFB is losing me and a lot of fans over this crap.

The portal and NIL only exist because the NCAA lost multiple federal lawsuits. The NCAA doesn't like the portal and NIL any more than you do. They allow them because they don't have a choice in the matter. Also, it isn't as if UGA was landing all these 5 star WRs before the portal and NIL. They used to get blue chip RBs, but Monken putting in a system that got rid of the featured tailbacks in favor of a RB-by-committee thing where no one got more than 10 carries a game caused the top RB talent to go elsewhere too.
Smart hiring Monken won UGA 2 titles, but by running a system that no big time QB, WR or RB wants to play in. Now UGA is experiencing the downside of that and needs to rebuild a system on offense that lets them contend consistently.
Kirby Smart talks to a reporter???
Come on. Laura Rutledge may be a Florida grad, but she’s one of only 2.5 good things to ever come out of U of F (Erin Andrews being the other one, and I’ll give Tebow half credit for being a good dude). Rutledge s also the consummate professional who, from my perspective anyway, reports honestly and with little, if any, bias. You mention Sankey (who screwed Georgia over) in the photo caption, but not Rutledge who has always treated Georgia fairly. Show some respect.
