Don't put a lot of stock in such crystal ball forecasts. Love the Dawgs but we need some serious improvement to be in top 20

I know it is early, but it soothes the soul to see Alabama ranked below South Carolina in this poll!

Say what?? TOP 20? Ridiculous. Georgia has too much talent and coaching to be a Top 20 team. I agree with the Top 5 assessment as stated in the poll.

If rankings were based on the amount of NIL money spent (Dec 24) towards 2025 rosters it would look something like this -

    20. Florida State Seminoles: $10 million

    19. Oregon Ducks: $10.6 million

    18. Kentucky Wildcats: $11.2 million

    17. Arkansas Razorbacks: $11.5 million

    16. Auburn Tigers: $11.58 million

    15. Tennessee Volunteers: $11.6 million

    14. Virginia Cavaliers: $12.7 million

    13. Michigan State Spartans: $13 million

    12. Indiana Hoosiers: $13.6 million

    11. Penn State Nittany Lions: $13.7 million

    10. Oklahoma Sooners ($14.8M)

    9. Clemson Tigers ($15.2M)

    8. Florida Gators ($15.8M)

    7. Alabama Crimson Tide ($15.9M)

    6. Michigan Wolverines ($16.3M)

    5. Texas A&M Aggies ($17.2M)

    4. Georgia Bulldogs ($18.3M)

    3. LSU Tigers ($20.1M)

    2. Ohio State Buckeyes ($20.2M)

    1. Texas Longhorns ($22.2M)

@Stiffneck…interesting. Well, I don't see the guys we've gotten so far from the portal for next season worth $18.3M (not even close) - especially as compared to the $20M for the (4) key transfers and guys retained for the Buckeyes that led to a National Championship just a few days ago.

I'd say Ohio State got a much better bang for their buck, by far.

Texas has got a loaded roster for next season, and I'd say Penn State and the Longhorns are going to be the teams to beat.

So, Kirby's set the table for 2025. I'm not sure we've got a better lineup than our quarterfinal CFP roster and less experience.

    What do we have? A top 5 team? I don't see a preseason favorite. I think we're back to 2018 or 2019.

Will Howard's final obscene numbers in the (4) playoff games:

75.2 percent completions, 1,150 yards, eight touchdowns, two interceptions.

Good grief. Did Ohio State spend their money wisely…I'd say so.

@MontanaDawg - Agree on Texas making a run. Arch Manning will make them much more dynamic and that defense will be even better. Still do not understand what Quinn Ewers is doing. He received an $8 million offer from another program to transfer, but instead decided to declare for the NFL draft. Doubt he'll go in the early rounds (doesn't have a big arm). May have to wait on that big payday.

Will Howard put up video game like numbers in the playoffs and much of the season (4,010 passing yards, a 73.0% completion percentage, a 175.3 passer rating). He's got that proto-typical size (6-4, 235), which will serve him well in the draft. Has a pretty good deep-ball. Only real down side is he comes across as a one-read quarterback, needs to go through his progressions. Seems he's the better draft pick of the two.

And that is where the slide begins … get ready for Mark Richt era bowl game appearances. UGA is on the outside looking in for years to come.
