- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Poor Champ! Legal or not Mary Jane chemically affects the brain and one’s thought process. Sounds like he had been addicted for some time. Mary Jane today compared to 20-30 years ago is like a low alcohol beer versus grain alcohol. Sad as many aspiring athletes will jump on this like a dragster getting a green light. Just as disturbing is that DN would publish it.
Completely applaud Champ if it was right for him. Not any worse than most of what Big Pharma pushes on us, with questionable even harmful results (ex: opioids)
Sounds like rationalization. If you like to get a buzz, waste some brain cells and groove on the moment then own it. There is no hard scientific data to support that smoking marijuana does anything but make you think you feel better. Or not care that you don't.
"randomized trials showed that inhaled cannabis provided short-term relief from chronic neuropathic pain for 15–20% of patients."
"that was my skull. I'm so wasted".
Spicoli's bong is full of smoke?
There actually is growing scientific evidence of pain relief (and other benefits) from marijuana. There of course needs to be considerably more, on both the benefits and negative side effects. Go Dawgs!
I wish I'd seen this the day it was posted. I have military service connected Parkinson's due to exposure to agent orange while in the Air Force. Agent Orange's effects (painwise) began when I thirty-one and attending UGA before getting my degree in journalism. Because I was exposed on Guam in 1976, and the DOD covered it up (EPA test found evidence in 2019). I couldn't get treatment for pain, though I had to have surgery on both shoulders in 1990, while attending college. I could get no VA benefits, nor could I get opiates for the incredible pain. Herb was, and still is, my magic elixer I so wish did not need to use. I give almost anything to not have to. The VA did put me on the highest level opiate pain relief manufacured a few years ago, and it helps, but herb helps me sleep like nothing else, and is able to eleviate a certain type of pain opiates do not. Physicians truly need to research the medicinal effects of herb. BTW - I was exposed at eighteen. At Twenty-one I had diabetes and hypothyroidism. Agent Orange caused both. I should not be made a criminal due to needing what I was forced to need.
