Jeff Foxworthy is a very funny guy. He also seems to know a bit about football. But the UGA D was not good enough to win it all this season. He also seems to put most of the "blame" for the season on Beck. If we saw one thing in '24 it was that you could spread blame around to every position group on the team.

Some improvement and development can be expected from returning players at each level of the defense in '25. Overall team success will depend on building an OL that can re-establish the UGA standard. AND is Gunner Stockton a ready for prime time player? He is the key.

It is not a bad thing to be howling about not vying for the top spot. It takes a very special combination of coaching, recruiting, development, timing, scheduling and vision and comaraderie to get to the top. A lot of factors. A lot of folks involved. In the present day of musical coaches and players I do not see how anyone is going to be able to sustain a perennial "at the top" placement. Way too many variables. Don't envy the coaches. It is now a different era.
