WOW. We can officially call this team…DONE. Stop with all the March Madness talk and maybe start discussing a new coach…and how do we recruit better players that can hold their own for the full contest! The SEC owns the Top 25, but the Dawgs aren't part of the conversation…as usual.
😴😴😴
Yep...and, it ain't the talent. White needs to partner up with Kirby Smart and figure out a way to get the same kind of commitment and buy-in that the Football Team has. Not to mention...get their butts in game-shape.
They get sloppy in the second half....cause, they run out of gas. Their shots and passes are just a little off at the beginning of the2nd half.....then....they are all over the place by the 5 minute mark, with misses and turnovers.
"Fatigue" is a giant killer. And, the Dawgs aren't giants, yet....so they can't afford, not TO FINISH THE DRILL! If they want the Glory, that is. No Blood, Sweat & Balls...no blue ribbons. Just that simple. Lol
We're not ready for the Big Dance. Hopefully we can make a deep run in the NIT.
Turn out the lights, the party’s over! They say that all good things must end. Of course this was never a good team.
Wash, rinse, & repeat! What is it going to take to get a coach in Athens that can get a team to play for 40 minutes? After 3 years this team despite the talent & depth may be White’s worst yet. A 3rd consecutive SEC finish of 6-12 looks to be a long shot. The way this team gave up today, 4-14 looks very likely.
The Dawgs need to either make a major commitment in facilities, coaching, players & NIL or just start signing enough 0-2 star players to field a team, get a high school coach to babysit, & give the football team all the NIL & budget $ the basketball program is wasting. Who knows, maybe a group like that would learn to play together over 3-4 years & give us a better product than we have today. Outside of a couple of years, nearly 25 years of lousy basketball is enough.
This is a predictable pattern. Georgia plays well in the first half, then the other coaches adjust and leave Mike White and the team grasping for air. Another 15-0 or 22-0 or 17-0 run to start the second half. Do they drug the UGA players at halftime? That's a serious question. It's like setting your watch and it's pathetic. This guy clearly has no idea how to coach or adjust to what the other team does. He has turned chicken salad into chicken ****.
Mike White does not have, nor has he ever had, the leadership ability and the drive to demand the best of his players. Coaches like White are a dime a dozen and fail in all sports whether it be college or pro. If White is coaching this team next year that is just telling me Josh Brooks is not serious about this BB program. If he is committed to having a winning BB program, he should be on the phone right now lining up a list of proven, successful head coaches. They’re out there but is Brooks committed enough to finding him? We should have our answer very shortly. Fans and students can’t do any more to prove they WILL support a competitive team with a proven, winning coach. Go Dawgs!
@BornADawg I agree, but Josh Brooks will do nothing. Apparently we are fringe fans who do nothing but complain. At least we care. The rest of Dawgnation could give a ****.
Stick a fork in 'em.
Who has their panties in a pinch that he has to vote down everyone’s post? Is Mike white checking out posts now?
Amen, brother. "Fringe Fans", is all the Dawgs have earned, in Basketball. If they want some "Base Fans"....they're gonna have to earn em....with or without Mike White at the helm.
IMO....There aren't very many Bobby Knight's or Bobby Cremins' hangin' around, looking for jobs. If Brooks wants a winner....he better learn how to evaluate Coaches, a little better.
I DO like what he found, for the Baseball Program, though. So....maybe, it's just bad luck. The Dawgs could use a little more of that, across the board.
Go Dawgs...."it ain't over till it's over". Thanks Yogi. Lol
If Mike White is the coach April 1 then you know everything you need to know about how much of a priority basketball is to the decision makers at UGA. If they don’t care why should I ?
