Now Smart is paying it forward, as Ty Hatcher, Chris’s son, has been hired as an offensive quality control assistant at Georgia. John Brice of FootballScoop was the first to report the news.

    I've said since Buster departed that we need more creativity to temper Bobo's conservative vanilla approach to offensive game plans….if Ty is half as good as his dad…..I believe he's better…The Dawg Offense will climb back into the 40 plus points per game atmosphere….welcome aboard Ty, enjoy your 2-3 years at Georgia before your take a HC position.

    Pop Hatcher sure knew how to win, both as an All American QB and then as a coach at Valdosta State. I hope Ty has that same drive and knowhow to win as his Dad. Welcome aboard Ty!
