Notre Dame safety: Georgia âin good positionâ with Gunner Stockton at quarterback

Watts, speaking at the 2025 NFL Combine on Thursday, was asked by DawgNation about how Kirby Smartâs Bulldogs looked with Stockton under center for four quarters.

The problem isn't QB. Everyone knows what the problem is. I'm afraid it will be glaring next year. But, will they do something about it. I honestly doubt it.
"In Kirby I trust".
Injuries, key losses to the NFL, 24 players lost to the portal, suspensions/dismissals, NIL & NIL tampering, all had a significant impact on the Dawgs depth in a season where the they faced one of the most difficult schedules in modern football history. It was the perfect storm which only got worse when the night before their playoff game, a terrorist attach thru another dilemma into the storm. Georgia beating Texas twice & winning an SEC championship was a monumental achievement. To keep the 2024 team in the mix all year, Coach Smart & his staff in my opinion did an incredible job. With the only real failure being the loss to Notre Dame, there is no way to point blame to any one person or position room. It’s time to move on & get behind the 2025 edition & let the best coach in the game work his magic. Go Dawgs!!!
I see big storm clouds over the 2025 season. Big coaching problems on the offensive side of the ball, a perception that the era of NIL and transfer portal is not working out very well for UGA, and the increased competition from other SEC teams all combine for big concerns. Plus, I don't see a lot of talent on the offense, particularly playmakers. We keep losing the best playmakers to other schools willing to pay more. Gunnar Stockton is a good QB, but not elite by any means.
