Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

We don’t need platitudes about fans, coaches, teammates, or Athens. Just go.
"The bonds I"ve formed with Dawg Nation and the Athens community will forever hold a special place in my heart"—-but not TOOO strong of a bond—-eh, Silas? No question—NIL does ****!!!!
Major college sports has moved from a sense of fealty to one of abject chaos driven by commercial priorities. If we are going to be totally commercially driven, we are left only with the option of contracts for each athlete that will have obligations and consequences. Rah, rah…
This is what happens when politicians stick their nose where it doesn't need to be.
Congratulations, you've turned colleges into employers for everyone.
What's next? cheerleaders and the band too getting paid.
How can any coach build a team in this environment?
I have a question: It seems that he has said he is entering the transfer portal so he can test the pro "waters" and still hold his college eligibility. Could he not also do that without entering the transfer portal. Is there something in the rules that gives him more time to "explore" the NBA if he is in the transfer portal? Anyone have a comment about this?
