There are a lot of people who would insert Dabo and Ryan Day between CKS and Dan Lanning on the coaches ranking list. I don't think Curtis's HS would object to his returning in May'26 to attend graduation and prom provided his college schedule permits it.

Mark it down…he is NOT signing here.

ITs a scam to push his NIL value with Oregon.

Or...vice-versa. Either way....it's just business. Nothing personal. I DO think, he'll wind up at UGA. Either, in this year's recruiting class...or, in the portal after Lanning takes a bigger job, in a year or two. Lol..."it's meant to be".

Oregon has the Nike money and will offer a bag he cannot refuse. Sadly, this is what College Sports have come to… the highest bidder… NIL has absolutely ruined college sports, at least the major revenue sports…

Will Stein or Mike Bobo. Who is the young and up and comer-new concepts(big brother type) vs the Old(er) gruff by all accounts, set in his ways, bubble screen guy. If Bobo had a record of putting QB's high in the draft you might choose HIm, all things else being equal. But that's not the case. Oregons a beautiful place. Lanning is a fireball coach. UGA is more like a highly ran machine, it's not sexy. If the vibe is better in Oregon(perception is everything) and the money is more, if you had no brand loyalty what would you do?

WHen a kid says one place is like family and the other program is like a rocket ship about to take off? Well….

    @NorthHallDawg

Why doesn't Oregon get every recruit it wants if they can outbid everyone else? I am so tired of hearing NIL as the only reason we miss on a recruit. UGA is not a welfare school

I think everyone is overreacting about NIL and recruits. In 2025, we were 3rd with the same number of 5 stars as Texas and one more than Oregon. We had 33 recruits which is more than any other team in the Top 5.

For 2026, UGA is 26th with 5 recruits and Oregon is 9th with 8 recruits with 5 of them coming from the state of Oregon or California.

People act like we are some small school strapped for cash. Texas might have an advantage given their obsession with football, but to think that Georgia can't keep up with an Oregon? Please. In some ways, the NIL benefits us MORE because we have PLENTY of football fans, donors and resources and now we can't blame "under the table" deals that we know happened previously. And Advertisers? They follow the audience. Georgia gets plenty of respect there.

Bobo coached a number of high profile QB's...including 1st rounder Matt Stafford, 4th rounder and 2x NC...Stetson Bennett, last year's "projected" 1st rounder.…Carson Beck (injured).

He recruited and groomed Gunner Stockton. IMO....Gunner will be his Aaron Murray. With the acquisition of a cast of receivers worthy of the name.…he has the missing pieces for his offense.

I'd find it hard to believe, that UGA won't have a quality offensive line, this year. But, this could turn into a thing, if they don't put their run-blocking crew together, pretty quick. That...to me...is Bobo's Achilles Heel and biggest challenge, going into summer ota's and preseason camp.

Those guys don't have long to work together.…and, I'm still not sold on Coley or Searels.

I'm just sayin'.…I'd go with Bobo, just because, I think he has what he's been lacking. Leadership, experience and talent at "all" positions. No excuses, this season. And, I don't think Bobo will need any. The transition is complete.

Go get em Big Red. We're all behind you.

@kirkhilles ....I pretty much, agree with you. And, don't forget...besides the things you mentioned....UGA is smack in the middle of the best recruiting grounds, in the Country. They have always "gotten theirs"..with or without the money. That won't change.…IMO.

Lol....Athens is still party central and home to some pretty great music...i.e., REM. What kid wouldn't want to be part of what's goin' on in Athens, these days....with a Championship CFB Team and highly competitive in all the other sports..

    Hell...it's never been better. Lol

Well....maybe, it was that good a couple of other times...in the 40's and '80's. But, it didn't last. I have a feeling, this one's gonna stick. Lol.

I just saw where Nico inTennessee is holding out of spring practice for more NIL. LOL! So this is what it has come to. I'd kick his behind off the team.

He knows, his best chance of making big bank, is now...while he's in College. He's not as valuable as he thinks he is. That may become very apparent to him.…soon. QB's like him, are a dime a dozen. It takes a leader to find greatness.

There are a lot of Paper Tigers out there.....Created by a bored and desperate entertainment industry known as "Ranking Services" & ESPN. Lol...it's a scam, IMO.

You've heard of Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound". Well....that's what these Football "experts" and recruiting services do, at the end of the day. They lay down a "Wall of Hype" so high and thick...it takes a Kirby Smart to sniff out the real ones, with "the right stuff". Lol....that's a Bulldog for ya.
