I am convinced that he has what it takes, but he has to have everyone else playing healthy and at an elite level.

Not worried about Gunner. O line, that's another matter. Hopefully, as so many have pointed out, they were just banged up and they really can play. I have serious doubts. I hope they (and their coaches) get that message.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - history is not a strong predictor in the college QB position. Here were the pre-season picks for the Heisman last year:
Dillon Gabriel, Oregon +550 Carson Beck, Georgia +800 Quinn Ewers, Texas +1200 Will Howard, Ohio State +1400 Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee +1400 Jalen Milroe, Alabama +1400 Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss +1400 Cameron Ward, Miami +1400 Garrett Nussmeier, LSU +1800 Garbiel was a 3rd round pick, Beck had a crappy year, Ewers was barely drafted. Howard was drafted 6th round, Nico wound up coming back with a loser deal and so on. Meanwhile who was drafted #1 overall? The 8th best QB before the start of the year. Thanks, but I'll take my chances with Stockton.
@kirkhilles…Amen to that. You never know how these 4 and 5 star QBs will turn out. Although I was a bit shocked that Will Howard didn't go until the 6th round. But I think that has more to do with lacking NFL team needs rather than a knock on his talent. The guy was a perfect fit last year for that Buckeye offense, and he performed brilliantly. He was the right guy at the right time.
also having two top 50 drafted RBs and the biggest freshman phenom WR can make anyone look good playing QB. Heck even Justin Fields might’ve won it all with that support.
