“You can’t really look too much into it,” quarterback Gunner Stockton said of the doubts around the Georgia offense. “I know we’re going to have a great season, and we’re excited for it, and we’ve been working hard this offseason, just trying to get closer and become a tight-knit group.”

In 2021 we had one SEC first teamer on O and D. That might have been the greatest UGA team in history. I wouldn't worry about the SEC media picks.

Not a single all-SEC player on the entire offensive squad? Who is the offensive coordinator? Who is responsible for recruiting retaining and developing offensive skills? Oh, that would be Kirby Smart's buddy Mike Bobo who got passed around to no less than four teams in six years after he left UGA the first time. Why did we ever let him back in? His playcalling is atrocious, extremely predictable. He doesn't even stand on the field with his players during games. And now we have no offensive talent. Please lord, please give CKS the courage to fire this guy after the end of this season.

Dawgnation hasn't covered him much lately - probably because they already knew - but 5 star RB Derrek Cooper picked UGA over Texas on Sunday. Not so much about Cooper - he isn't a consensus 5 star, is more of an athlete (plays multiple positions on offense and defense) than a true RB, UGA doesn't get that many tailbacks out of south Florida (they do better with WRs and DBs), plus Texas always had a huge advantage as Cooper's high school QB 5 star Dia Bell is already committed there - but rather if UGA has very many good options left for a second RB in this class.

And really they need 3 RBs. UGA only signed 1 in 2025. They signed 3 in 2024, but one of them is a return specialist truthfully. Also only 1 in 2023. Further the 2022 RB is no longer with the program. And of the athletes from the 2021 class that were considered possibilities to help out at RB if needed, all either settled in at other positions or have long left Athens.

But if you look at Scout, ESPN, Rivals etc. it appears that nearly all of the top 50 (or top 75 even) have committed, with the few that haven't down to 2 or 3 schools that do not include UGA. It looks like UGA is going to have to flip a guy from another class at this point. And again, UGA actually does need 3 guys to make up for not getting the numbers in several previous ones.

they’ll just grab one from the portal. No sense in giving a HS kid the bag like that.
