While, similar to @GtheGreek and others, I have strongly questioned CB's leadership qualities, I have to give him props for how he handled this interview and this question in-specific.

I will never forget the lack-of-fire, the unwillingness to tackle on a returned interception, the laughing on the bench as the Dawgs were losing, the seemingly indifferent leadership to his teammates when they struggled, the conspicuous consumption, etc., etc.... but I can forgive.

I realize it's unlikely that a single data point like this means a wholesale change, but maybe we're seeing growth for Carson? I certainly hope so. Whether anyone considers him a DGD or not, wishing someone to become better as a person seems to be a good way to go, IMHO

I feel like Carson gave UGA his all and played to a high level in most of his games. Yes he struggled against Bama and missed some passes but he wasn't alone. At times he seemed disconnected but I feel that was just his way of handling the situation. Carson will always be a Bulldog to me. I hate the way things ended but blame NIL and the transfer portal. Wishing nothing but the best for Carson and next man up, Gunner! Go Dawgs!

There’s not a single post claiming CB wasn’t a good player…what he was NOT was a great team leader. Too many times last year tv showed CB by himself on the bench sulking instead of engaged and lifting his team up, you know, like Gunner does. I’m glad the CB era is over, I’m glad he conned the U into giving him 4m and I hope he turns into the leader I had hoped he would be in Athens. I appreciate that he stuck around and waited for his time with the keys to the car but that in itself doesn’t make him a dgd…he simply isn’t. He proved that by selling out to the U when he STILL possessed the keys to our car. True character shining thru.

And Bennett threatened to transfer (a second time) if Georgia didn’t meet his demands.
