5 reasons Georgia football has championship ceiling in 2025

Seeing was believing last Friday, as this Georgia football team passes the eyeball test as much as any since the programâs 2021 CFP Championship team.

2025 will either make or break Mike Bobo…. Let the games begin!
Kirby has said they are the healthiest they've been at the start of camp ever. FANTASTIC. And, I think I read a mention that the DAWGs have altered some of their approach/methods for their off-season workouts. More cardio. Less repetitive stress on knees and ankles (?) Can anyone confirm that?
@BigFan yes, it's in the video report atop story
Offensive and defensive lines will make or break the season. Excited to see Christian and the young kids play together!
Sounds like this young team has a strong bond, togetherness, and leadership. At times last season I failed to see that during a few games, at times the DAWGS would show they were a top team, other times it looked as if they were just going through the motions. Cant wait to see this young team gel together this season..GoDAWGS!
"This is one instance where the numbers can be believed, the two players look very similar standing next to one another."____ @MikeGriffith
Lol....that's funny. I was wondering if everybody believed all the physical stats for Football players....at any level. I remember "coach" tacking 1 inch onto my height for the Program & Media...not sayin' nothin' ' bout my weight. Lol...maybe, he anticipated growth....yeah....that's the ticket.
I could probably add a few more reasons to Mike's list...but "5" is a nice round number. I'm not sure you can get to ten. But, I'll start it....
1....Wide Receiver Room
2....Special Teams
3....Rat Food...i.e., perceived disrespect
4....UGA Fanbase
To the rest of the SEC...I say, bring it! What is this, now?..."Revenge Tour 3"? Lol
Hope this team stays healthy. Right now my biggest concerns are the young offensive and defensive lines with a unproven QB. I believe in Kirby and the Dawgs!!
I have to agree with you…as I saw the same thing. "Expectedly", I might add. Lots of injuries and upheaval throughout the year. But....That created opportunities to teach and gain vital experience for a lot of guys, that otherwise wouldn't have seen the field very much.
Imo...The leadership/connection issue was working itself out. I look at '24 as a building year for '25....much like '20 was a build year for '21 & '22.
The way I remember it.…Dean, Tindall, Davis, Wyatt and Walker [among others] really stepped it up a couple of notches from '20 to '21. I expect that kind of leap, this year. Only, this time....it'll be on both sides of the ball.
Imo....nowadays, you can't look much further ahead, than the next year, because of the current state of CFB.
Very true, injuries at the wrong time can derail a season quick. I can immediately think of 3 games where UGA looked like an average team at best last year..Kentucky, Ole miss and i'd even throw in that team south of athens on north avenue into the mix. They looked uninspired, almost lifeless at times in those games. Luckily, they somehow managed to squeak out wins vs UK, and gt by sheer determination, a little luck, and some questionable play calls by the opposing coaches. Not so lucky vs Ole miss when they played uninspired, and the difference in talent on the field wasnt as big as it was against uk, or gt. Don't get me wrong, both those schools have good talent on the roster, and some very good players, but the Rebels simply had better talent, and depth than those 2, and going through the motions against teams like that usually don 't end up favoring you on the scoreboard when the clock shows :00 end of 4th quarter.
I don't think we're gonna see that kind of mindset and those inconsistencies of '24...this year. Not, from what I'm hearing and seeing. This group of Dawgs appear to be on a mission...individually and together. If that makes sense. Lol
No major distractions...keeping the main thing, the main thang....along with the current injury forcast....makes me very optimistic about the coming season.
Just look at all the experience gained in '24....2 and 3 deep at nearly every position. Most of those guys are coming back, along with a good mix of Freshmen and Transfers. Some of the "transfers" are bringing in some valuable and much needed experience for the Special Teams units as well as skill positions.
I guess I feel pretty Dawggone confident & comfortable about the situation this year....cause, I don't doubt Stockton or Bobo like most do. I know what they CAN DO....just, don't know if they WILL DO. Lol. God Bless em.
Go Dawgs!!
