Just a prediction sort of a shaky one, certainly Not a Wishful one but I’ve got a feeling KY might fire Stoops after this season
Possibly. James Franklin might be available.
$38 MIllion is Stoop, err Steep. Maybe once NC State fire Doreon they 2 schools can swap coaches.
Wow !! I hadn’t thought about Franklin but your prediction could be spot on !! It’d make sense. If that happens wonder would become of Stoops ?
Could be worse. They could be a laughing stock like that joke NC Tarheal Team. Maybe Belicheks chippie can coach special teams.
@navydawg Funny about Franklin. He's like the Rodney Dangerfield of coaching. I have kicked around the wishful idea of Ed Orgeron being Kirby's new DC. But that's just a big tease. Still one can dream.
I’d take him as DL coach
🤣🤣 The Rodney Dangerfield of Coaching !! Glad I wasn’t drinking something I’d have spewed Lol !! Thanks for that, I needed a good laugh !!
Hey that’s not a bad idea at all If it could happen. Stoops is a pretty good Defense guy. And him and Kirby are long time Buddies. So he’d probably click pretty good at UGA. My original comment could be wrong, but I have a gut feeling KY folks might be ready for a change. I’d pass on Franklin he’s Not UGA material imho.
Yall our Dawgs are gonna have a tough road ahead. The parity is really starting to show. Allot of teams especially SEC teams seem to be getting better each week with a few exceptions.
Hopefully today helped the Players shake off a heart breaking loss. Auburn won’t be an easy game in Their house. Need to score quick and often and take their crowd out of it. Hopefully today further identified issues and fixes for them and built confidence. Go Dawgs !!
i meant Ed Orgeron as DL coach but stoops as a DC with a fresh voice would work for me
Mark Stoops is a standup guy—he really is, but if he's anywhere near thinking about retirement, a one time infusion of $38 million to leave his position would certainly be enticing—at least it would to me!
He won’t quit because that would eliminate the huge severance payout. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be surprising if even Kentucky decides to bite the bullet and fire him, although $38,000,000 might make ‘em let him keep his job.
Stoops is a class act, when he was hired, I figured here comes another 6 win season at best coach, that will be around 2-4 years tops, before uk is searching for a new head coach. But, he proved me wrong, actually had a few decent seasons that actually made fans forget about the upcoming basketball season. .
And that might happen to Franklin before the season is over lol
