It's so convenient these days to hate on ESPN (or Walmart or Disney or Google) or anything else that makes big money and is well known. Just because the writer is from ESPN, doesn't automatically make his or her opinion wrong or right. It's just another one of many opinions out there to be considered — or not. Time will bear our whether it's a worthy opinion or not.

And speaking of unpopular opinions, I didn't hear the podcast, but I, too, believe the O-Line is having a pretty good year, despite the criticism (some warranted, some not) of Stacey Searles. Despite all of the injuries and starting two true freshmen on the right side, we actually have a strong running game this year, and our pass protection has held up well thus far. Everyone will point to the missed block in the Alabama game, and that's fair. But the truth is blocks get missed in virtually EVERY football game. It's just when they occur and what happens as a result of the mixed block that gets the attention. Also, when a play works well, often little attention is paid to the line blocking that allowed that success. So, kudos to the line and Coach Searles. Let's hope that strong play continues Saturday at Auburn, and we come out with a win and NO INJURIES.

Gonna add to what Dallas was saying without quoting…

We have a young team all over. Injuries have plagued the O-line, and play has been inconsistent. BUT. Considering both of the above points, we’re starting to rush like a GA team ought to rush. Is the pocket collapsing quicker than we want it to? Yes, and that does limit our passing plays. Still, there’s a significant gel happening, and it deserves recognition.
