Strange article,Allen was the D MVP and Branch the O MVP IMO and neither was mentioned. Loser, how about Dillion Bell's pathetic pass attempt on an otherwise beautiful play?

Sorry Allen was given credit for the punch out but he had a great overall game as well.

So loud in that first half. That's a huge effect on a freshman O line and sophomore QB. After the fumble, it got real quiet.

Not throwing shade but why is 30 yards our longest pass completion. No time to pass, excellent coverage, or not picking up the open man. by this time in the season we should have developed a connectivity between at least two WR and the QB?

Mark Richt routinely won 10 games and would have routinely been in the 12-team playoff.

Was listening to Danzler, Butler and Zeier Sunday morning. Talking about Gunner's throwing motion. And that it's not (currently) the motion of an elite QB. Zeier/Butler said he throws like a pitcher. To me, most (not all) is throws look "flat" - not much touch on them. Anyone out there understand what they may've been talking about (in more detail)? Maybe that it's a big, wind up motion? Other?

It was longest pass play of the AUB game. Against Bama, Stockton completed a 38 yd pass to Colbie Young for a TD. Another 'would've been' 50 yd pass was dropped. Also had a 47 yd TD to Zachariah Branch on a screen pass early in the season.

I love Gunners humilty on the post game interviews, but does anyone besides me feel like he could slip into Karl Childers from the Sling-Blade movie and not miss a beat? JUst curious.

Gunner Stockton is a Dual Threat QB. Kirby and UGA took Gunner on with the full knowledge that he’s a dual threat QB. This said I don’t understand why Some fans stress on the word some seem to obsess over his passing skills but you rare to ever hear that same group of fans Compliment him on all the Many and Critical first downs and for that matter TDs he’s got with his FEET !! My comment here about Some is not even close to Most Dawgs fans only a what I believe to be a small majority.

The young man is just six games in to his first season as being the Real starter. Last year doesn’t count in my view as being starter.. Some will say “ Well he’s been in the System for three years”. That’s good but Limited, only Real game experience and time will give a brand new starting QB the valuable tools he needs to succeed. It’s been acknowledged even in This article that he is indeed improving each game played.

Through Six games he’s only thrown one INT and that’s playing behind a constantly shuffled O Line ( Not their fault but Not his either). If people will only go back and LOOK they Will see that Both Stetson and Carson struggled initially as brand new starters so this isn’t some weird anomaly.

Our Dawgs have lost ONE game by Three points and in my view that was a Team loss. There ARE times that Gunner Deserves criticism as it’s legitimate. But he Also deserves Credit when he does Good things and that includes with his Feet !!

To add a little context Simpson who many are Oohing and Aahing about won by 3 points vs our Dawgs and vs Mizzou so I don’t see the Huge disparity between the two QBs in terms of final product and though unfortunately Not an SEC loss he and his team did lose to FSU.

So when Gunner misses open receivers down field YES he deserves criticism. But on the next play when he runs for 10-15 yards to pickup a critical first down he deserves Credit. To Me that’s a fair analysis for a Dual Threat QB. Go Dawgs !!

You better be careful or Gunner might come after you with a Kaiser blade Lol !! From the movie: “ Some people call it a Kaiser blade I call it a Swing blade” 🤣🤣

Gunner averaging 210.67 yds per game with only one INT. Thats not exactly world shattering. BUT he’s averaging 36.67 rushing per game making him the third leading rusher on the team. So when you put the Two factors Together the picture is considerably better.
