Kirby Smart is not one to worry about style points, so much as taking opportunities to develop talent, as he did pulling starters in early season wins over Marshall (45-7 win) and FCS Austin Peay (28-6).

”This time, however, the Bulldogs might have a bit more to play for when it comes to enhancing their College Football Playoff resume.”

Uhhh, no. Just no. Whether we beat them 28-3 or 70-7 the only style points available are 11-1 and whooping them Bumblewasps on black Friday…do that and we’re a top 4 seed, don’t and we’re a top 12 team. Either way playing Charlotte won’t impress anyone but me! Go dawgs…

Warning Off Topic !! But this ain’t the most important story in the world either. If they don’t delete it without even reading it which they just might and I couldn’t blame them. I sent Kirby and his recruiting staff a email lobbying for them to recruit Ty Cummings.

I see him as another Isaiah McKenzie or maybe even better. He tore off a 98 yd. TD run to help WL win their round one playoff game 45-6. He only had 130 yds Friday night but that’s because WL spread the ball around to Allot of guys.

He’s got 27 TDs so far averaging 213 yds. per game has over 2200 yds as of now also 141 yds receiving. He’s also made kick and punt returns that take his total to well over 3000 yds. I’ve never even had the pleasure of meeting the young man but I’m pulling for him !! All I want is a mere 10% of his NIL . 🤣 Just a kiddin

Back to our Dawgs I honestly think they could put up a Big score and Not play Any starters !! Charlotte is not exactly a powerhouse.

That is an interesting point, but my guess is that Ole Miss could have defeated The Citadel 72-0 and they still would have been passed by Texas Tech.

Style points might count....and, they might not.

    But.....like I always say.…"Why take a chance?"!

I say....Beat their doors in and apologize afterward, if you've gott it to do. Just WIN and everything'll be everything. Lol

Go get em boys. Ya got em on the ropes. Don't let up!

I hope Kirby doesn’t leave the starters in until the 4th quarter. He has a habit of doing that

If the CFP committee is that fickle forget-em. There is no style in beating a lesser opponent by a zillion points by leaving starters in for the whole game. It also runs the risk of injuries and we do have a hot date with Tech coming up. I would like to see us get ahead by say 21 and give EVERYONE who dresses out the opportunity to play at least a couple of downs

Well if the committee move TT ahead of Georgia it would lose any last shred of credibility they may still have - and I stress may given I’m not sure they have any as it is. Maybe it will get a little better now that the chair has been replaced.

Since the committee kept giving Ohio state credit for beating the #1 team in the country as their only signature win, I’m waiting on them to say Georgia just beat the #1 team as well! Go DAWGS

Play Gunner one quarter…then rotate in Puglisi. Play 2s and Scout team for most of game…this Charlotte bunch is really bad. Bottom of their puny league. Stuff of a good scrimmage for the 2s. Charlotte wants to grab their paycheck and head up to NC.
